I haven't. I was initially using the smk's for my long range AR and bought these to try on game myself. Never got around to loading them and trying though. Considering the Amax's perform well on game I'd hoped the same for these. I'm keeping a box of each to eventually try on dogs out of my 16" to test. I'm sure people have tried by now since they've been out for a while.

Stock is Mil-spec, sorry I guess that would help.

You can also send brass to Hornady and they'll make the modified case/cases for you. I was going to do that but just bought the odd sized drill bit and tap for it, have yet to try it myself though.

I recall reading about the proposal some time ago. At first I thought it was b.s. But the way they explained it was that the amount of hogs that hunters actually are able to kill vs. the population growth was very minimal. The pressure that hunters apply disrupts their patterns, educates them, makes them more aware of humans, more nocturnal, and harder for professional trappers/exterminators to decrease the population. Looking at it from purely a reduction in population makes sense. It would stink to live there and not be able to kill one if in your tree stand when one comes in, but they are trying to do what's best for the state. I have hunted in Texas where there were hogs that had a lot of pressure. It was absolutely insane just how spooked and smart they were. They were in the thicket all day and about the last 15 minutes of light the brush would come alive with hogs running through the openings to feeding ground across the ranch to avoid hunters. We even hunted over feeders at night. This was an archery only ranch, can't imagine how bad it would be if they were shot at with guns. Out of 5 of us for 4 days there were only 2 or 3 arrows shot at hogs due to the hunting pressure, so I understand where they're coming from unfortunately. The devastation that hogs do is crazy.
