Thank you all for the responses good and constructive. I asked to be critical because I want to hear what I can improve on and opens my mind more. Keep the don't likes and what to improve on coming...... Please! A big thanks for the Range Snap shoutouts as well. I am glad it works for you and you all like it! Love my Range Snap as well!!! You know Jim, you are completely correct. I assumed if somebody doesn't know what a Range Snap is they'd just go to the site. It's silly not to show exactly what it is and promote it every chance I get. Even have a little commercial at the end or something as well. Will do so on my next video coming up very soon. Thank you for your help and the support! The more I watch it the more I can see where the parts lull and what could be cut. I think I started too fast, got right to the point of the Bull i was gonna take and then drug it out slower than I should have. I thought the narration sounded a bit monotined to me as well, and I am sure to others even more so. Will try to work on that, have somebody else either narrate or add segments that break away and show us actually talking about the hunt and setting up the scenes. It's funny you say that about the effects. Yeah I tried to throw a bunch in that I haven't used and probably got carried away. I see what you mean about being cheesy and stock, that is a great point. I appreciate your input. Thank you! I will redo this video a few more times and the input will help me! This is my rough draft and hope to improve greatly each time as I go. Thanks again and keep em coming, and please don't just try to be nice. christian

He isn’t one of the big ones I was hoping for but still a pretty good Bull I am happy with. We spent a few days down in the canyons and meadows we were initially seeing the Bulls in. Since the rut had started, the Bulls seemed to have moved out of this area completely in search of cows. We only saw one cow down there this year so the Bulls were gone. We moved on to other areas. The Bulls were talking early mornings and late evenings. Had three opportunities and passed on a couple Bulls that were bugling. I actually passed on this Bull I shot two days prior. Called him in and had him at 35 and 65 yards. He came right in and was alone. I was by myself this day and my camera man / hunting partner Jamey Waite hadn't made it up yet so I put down my bow and picked up my camera. I filmed him for about 10 minutes grazing and searching for the cows. He was weak on his ones, two's and his left fifth. Since I had eight more days to hunt and the rut was picking up, I decided to pass. Well two days and a couple of opportunities later, we set up around the same area I saw this Bull in. The evening was among us now and started hearing a couple of bugles. We'd set up just right and we heard a Bull gathering cows. He was bugling and running back and forth on the hill and the cows were mewing like crazy. Pretty soon the cows started trickling into view one by one from off of the hill. As he came in to viewl and out of the trees my buddy and I realized it was the same Bull from two days prior. He was now the heard Bull running the show, when just two days prior he was alone and searching. I decided to go ahead and take him since Jamey was there filming. I’d already passed on this Bull before, have a brief history with him, and now he's with about twenty cows it was all too perfect. Even though I had the entire hunt if needed I still felt very rushed and pressured for this hunt. As soon as I killed we needed to scoot out of there and get ready to drive to Wyoming for our Antelope hunt and be back before the end of the month. This aided in my decision to take this Bull so early in the hunt as well. Plus you always wonder what happens if they shut up or I don’t get another opportunity at a good Bull, much less another Bull at all. Not to mention every day the full moon was getting closer and closer and I was worried it may make them more nocturnal. I turned to Jamey, who was about ten foot to my right to make sure he had the camera on him and he nodded. I waited for what seemed like an eternity for the Bull to step into my lane, put the pin behind his shoulder (after I ranged him with my Range Snap of course) and squeezed the shot off. The arrow blew right through him and he only ran about thirty yards. He stood there still for a minute while all the cows settled back down, bedded, and expired all within view. I shot him in the evening and we waited until about dark to go get him. We decided to drive back to camp and get the tarp and lantern. We started cutting, skinning, and packing him out piece by piece with our frame packs. We didn’t even get the last piece of him back to the truck until 10:00am the next morning. That was a LONG night! He was a Mature Bull with good mass, 52” main beams, and a 46” inside spread. He is just really lacking on his lowers and left G5. I really like the way his left G3 is inline with his left dagger, that’s what sold me on him. It was a good hunt and what a rush when you see that possible shooter herd Bull coming into view while bugling and pushing cows. The only thing we could have hoped for is more hunting days with more action on video, but still turned out pretty good and have enough video to throw together my hunt. The pack out Jamey Me And of course the CWT.COM glory picture

I'd initially seen him on the 6th day when I passed him and he was alone then. Was he limping when you saw him? He had a really bad limp and a pretty bruised leg when we skinned him out. Sounds like he might have got beaten up and his cows taken from him. Were you able to tag out up there?

Great Goats!!! Thank you for sharing.

Very nice goat congrats! We just got back from ours and was a blast. I think that "do not shoot the first buck you see" is great advice up there.

Thank you all! Yeah I will, I have another Elk hunt I need to finish editing that I had the privledge to help out on and film for and then I can start on this one. Still have a few more hunts to throw together just need to find the time. I'll post it up when finsihed. Yes he is. He's pretty unique so probably the same Bull. When was it you passed on him and was he with cows or by himself?

Very nice Bull! Hopefully you can see pics of him before he got all busted up.

Unfortunately not any of these. Spent a little time down in this area but there were no cows and the place dried up a couple of weeks before season. We only saw three decent bulls down there, maybe in the 310" class and smaller. We yanked the camera and salt two weeks before season because there were really only small bulls and raghorns left. Ran into a couple people who had hunted down there and sounded like they weren't seeing anything either. We moved to an area close where we thought they migrated to but never could quite get visual. I'm sure they were a couple of the larger bulls we had on camera, including Brutus. I tagged out in a different area, and had to rush to Wyoming just days later for our Antelope hunt. Just got back home yesterday and has been kinda hectic. Will get pics and a story up soon.

Yes, pics and a story please. A big congrats, he's a stud! I'd love to see him on the ground and what he actually scores. Never saw him during season in the area he was in just weeks before but were just behind a couple of BIG sounding sceaming and chuckling bulls and never could quite get visual of them. Were within 60-80 yards or so twice. Which was very close to the area we think he migrated to in search of cows.

good luck to everyone! Should be a great year. Headed out this evening and hoping to let the air out of a good Bull myself.

All that time finally paid off, nice job. It makes it that much more memorable.

Have seen and have been getting game cam pics of a few groups of birds religiously the last few seasons in a certain spot up there. Good groups and good birds. Seen them up through January this year. Since then I have only gotten two game cam pics and was only 1 bird each time, and have only seen 1 bird 1 time a few weeks ago. I was wondering if maybe they got snowed out or froze out and died, migrated? I just don't know where they vanished to. What are your thoughts? I sure hope they didn't die off but I know we had a ton of snow this year and I know it happens. Have been looking forward to this fall archery all year but am very worried now without any sightings of the groups since January.

Congratulations on your archery kill! He does look tasty. Those slick Tricks do fly great, and are very durable. Very nice write up and story. I also love my Range Snap and NEVER leave for a hunt without it, but then again I am a bit partial I always get a big smile when I see the pictures and hear the stories of you all with your animals taken while wearing your Range Snaps. Not because it meant a Range Snap sale for me, but because it has helped a hunter and that is the most gratifying aspect about getting the Range Snap out there! Thank you for your help Amanda!!! I continue to see Jim Mullins out there with his and his clients animals and see him wearing his Range Snap as well, very cool feeling for me! I sure would love to post some more pictures on my website of the animals you all have taken. If you will let me post any kills taken while wearing your Range Snap please email me at christian@jaciarchery.com Congratulations once again and a big thanks to all who have purchased (from CWT.com or me directly) and or use the Range Snap. Very nice looking bear. Great job!

Just a small salt brick. Since they're done growing now they've pretty much stopped hitting it, but at least got some cool footage while it lasted.

Hunting Water after a big rain
stalkincoues replied to double lunger14's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
+1 Don't waste your time. They won't need to come to a water hole when they have water accumulated on the ground, creeks, rocks, puddles etc....
