These are amazing rings, I use them on my 338 Lapua and Nightforce scope with no shift from zero in two years. You might want to stress that they are made by Seekins Precision, don't need to be lapped, hold rock solid, and run around 200$$$ normally!!
Good luck

Wow what a fantastic lightweight rifle !!!!! I don't need one and am still tempted to sell a kidney to buy it.
This won't last long sir!!

+1 on the promaster Xc325.
I Was looking into the Manfrotto 290 xtra carbon. Looks pretty similar in design and in weight. Both have really good overall reviews. Need to get my hands on both

Thx for the recommendations

Just my opinion but I would get the panhead and get another tripod. The outdoorsman tripods are good but you can get as good for less money. The panhead is almost unbeatable for size, weight and functionality. If you save on the tripod then buy new panhead. Good luck
Any recommendations for a tripod for equal quality and weight??!!
Thx !!

Copy that I appreciate the advise!! I figured if I can get the tripod for a good deal then I would buy it used; but I will without a doubt be getting the pan head--either used or new. I have a good setup now (older Vortex tripod and Manfrotto head) was just looking to upgrade!
Again thx

Would settle for buying either one separate, pan head, medium or tall tripod !!!!
Ernesto-- Sorry I don't do any social media like Facebook (job conflicts)

I love my Savage Long Range Hunter in 7mm have shot out to 1K amazingly well with hand loads.
Or just buy a model 700 and upgrade it as you save up. True the action, barrel swap, upgrade the trigger, then the stock, and finally have it glass bedded.

There are still areas which are remote that hold big animals and good buck to doe ratios. We end up hiking more in 36B than any other hunt but it pays off as we have seen some TOADS the last several years and have harvested several nice bucks

A couple years old, but some good brake info. http://precisionrifleblog.com/2015/08/21/muzzle-brake-summary-of-field-test-results/
If you are ever down south, let me know if you want to see how your daughter does shooting with a silencer.
I absolutely LOVE silencers however the extra weight when hunting always seems to be my concern.

We have 4-December 23 tags.
Pounders do amazing work for sure finding large deer, however my very good friend said he "caught" one of them tampering with his trail camera in unit 23 and it is no longer usable. It was blantantly done out of malice as their camera was nearby. If this is true (and he has no reason to lie) then shame on them for their actions!! Not Cool!! It's "public" land and we all have to respect one another!!!!
Congrats on the amazing deer!!

I use an APA Little Bastard on my .338 Lapua and it feels no more than a .308 win shooting 285gr pills at high pressures.
Those who hate them don't shoot a 338 Lapua as their primary hunting caliber!!
I never bought into them till I used one, no fear of recoil resulting in a more controlled trigger pull, and seeing impact hits at distant ranges in order to make educated follow up shots are just a couple of advantages I have discovered.
I also NEVER shoot without hearing protection when on the range and also when hunting so that does away with the noise issue.
