thanks for the info,,,,,,i have been torn between the 7mm-08 and the 243...?? i decided to go with 243 for recoil reasons. am i making the wrong choice ?? i also have been looking at savage's youth package series. the model i am interested in is the 11FYXP3 youth with accutrigger. this package is available in 243 & 7mm-08 ,, price is around $485. a friend of mine has a model 7 and it is very nice but a little more than what i wanted to spend at this time. you got me thinking about the single shot now. it would be more safe !!!
