I hunt in an area with a fairly good population of cows. ( darn things take up quite a bit of space on my trail cams) Other than that i see little if any affect on what the couse are doing, bucks or does.

Awesome idea! Looks like you picked a great guide service to start off with. Do they do any guiding in unit 27?

Fatty fatty boom a latty!! I havn't seen an animal that fat since last years stock sale at the 4 H club. Too bad about his antler.

Mineral attractant?
Mangum replied to coueschaser3's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I buy regular mineral licks from the feed store for $6 or so. they work great for me. Little molasas or apple syrup on top works great too. -
yep that second pic is of some muleys. Nice pics.

That's wicked awesome!! It looks to me like this is turnig out to be a great year for wildlife. I have seen several different sets of twins, both elk, deer and antelope. All as healthy as cand be.

Good eye man. were those spike sheds close together or did you realy have to search for them? That brown one looks like it's from this year. Not a bad buck!!
-
I agree with you first couse was80. this shed did look like it was damaged while in the velvet. It looks like an eye gaurd with a knob where the rest of the main beam should have been.

All great posts. I agree with the article posted. I have also wondered if a buck dies of old age does he leave this world with about the same size of antlers as his first set. When I get a chance I will post a pic of a shed I found last weekend of a spike that is six inches long and four and three quarters inches at the base.

Or, the AZGFD could trade you the head with a citation.... exactly PULEEEEZE! Any of you guys find a dead head and you're all telling us here on this site that you'd just leave it!?!?! I sure as heck wouldn't but that's just me. Does that make us that do outlaws? I harldy doubt it. I guarandamntee if I was 4 miles into a roadless area and found a head that it'd be on my pack just as ol AZantlerhead did. Now if it happened to be a GIANT head I'd at least make a call and let them know that I was gonna take it cause big heads attract a lot of attn, most good but the little bad that it does can spoil all the fun of finding it in the first place. I rarely find skulls but got lucky back in March with that big nt wt head I found. I made sure that I called a GW just after I found it just in case any brown stinky stuff about it surfaced. You said it Grong!! More power to ya AZantlerhead.

I like it. That is an interesting knot just past his g2.
