Great advice with the electial tape over the muzzle I have never heard of that. I will have to try it next time I am out in the rain.

The other day I was at popular and saw some little lights that clamp on the rim of your hat. To me that seems like a pretty neat idea. Anybody use them?

CHD Wow what a MONSTER, all of your pics sweet to look at. Keep up the great hunting. I got my first coues over the weekend its a spike with a eyeguard on one antler. I am going to email Amanda with a photo and a story to post because I dont have a clue how to do it.

Thanks to each and everyone of you for your advice. I am sad to say that with too much money spent on this trip already I bought one from walmart for 12 bucks, and like the old saying goes ( you get what you pay for) keeps coming to mind. But then again its going to be a full moon most of my hunt, and probably wont need much light hiking anyway. Thanks Again.....Terry Lambeth

CHD, I am in no hurry, after all I have a late Oct. unit 33 coues tag to fill and I am leaving in the morning and this is the last time I get to visit this site for 5 days. Hopefully when I get back I will have one to post as well.

Another great book about the Lee brothers and cats is called ONZA The Hunt For A Legendary Cat , it has alot on hunting jags in Az and has a photo of a huge jag that they shot in the rincons.

Hey everybody, I have been out scouting alot lately and have'nt seen anything but one spike and a couple of does. My favorite area now has nothing but cattle in it, with vary little vegetation and no sign of deer. My hunt is one month away and Iam starting to stress a bit. I have been on 7 coues hunts and never had any luck, so I hope this year I get one. Anyways Iam going scouting again this weekend and any info would be appreciated. Thank You Terry Lambeth

Arizonabowhunter, Youtcy Canyon is where I hunted last year and I seen the same three bucks in the same spot every time I went in there, when my hunt started I had such bad allergies sneezing and my eyes swollen shut that I was not able to get one. I have been in there this year and the cattle have taken over. In the morning I am going to look at some areas around there.Wish me luck.

Arizonabowhunter, I have been scouting around Italian Trap area but this year there are alot of cattle in there and not many deer.

Stanley, I love to glass and have no problem finding them while they are bedded down, feeding ect. In the past I have seen some nice bucks and missed a few as well, But I am begining to beleive this area is shot out and its time to try another area.

Tom, Would you be willing to bring your hounds up to unit 33,because I always see alot of lion tracks and lion kill in the area I hunt.
