  3. maybe a few more details. 3 way fridge(gas/elec/propane), 3 burner inside stove, sink 10 gallon tank/elec water pump/ furnace/ 2 - 12 volt fans/ sand pads on stabilizers/ awning/ 10" box / 16 ' closed length/ 23' popped open/ 2" ball hitch/ electric brakes/ springs flipped for clearance/ indoor-outdoor carpet inside over vinyl

definite upgrade over tenting. best feature is kicking on furnace and starting coffee in the morning. Also zipping down the entire camper to screen room and taking a nap while the forest breeze blows through. Better than any toy hauler I have been in

  4. 2004 Fleetwood SantaFe

The good-no leaks/clean interior/always garaged/ one year old interstate deep cycle battery/newer tires/exterior 2burner high pressure stove/ already has a coueswhitetail .com sticker on it

The bad- curbside front corner cable snapped on my daughter’s jr deer hunt and needs repair, instructions are available online. Vinyl windows have a few cracks repaired with duct tape.

It has been a great camper for our family. If you are the fix it type this is a great deal for you.

  5. My daughter has unit 10 jr tag in Oct. Have the Big Bo permit lined up. Looking for info from folks who have hunted it recently about good camp areas for a popup etc. I am headed up in the the next few weeks to have a look around. I have the unit 10 map the AZGFD put out years ago. Anybody know if that is still accurate for the ranch?? Feel free to PM so we can avoid all the bullshit

    Thanks

His wife is blessed when  it comes to big game applications. First time she applied for elk she drew a unit 9 early archery bull. I am going to drive to Sierra Vista next elk draw just so she can touch my envelope.

There are no more envelopes. Take your keyboard for her to bless. 3 tags??? you all better have a lot of friends. Good luck and enjoy every minute

  7. Sounds like we are all pretty passionate about hunting. I'm pretty thick skinned and appreciate the opinions and support. I felt very confident with the shot. I was sitting on my butt and had three points of contact stabilizing the gun. In the weeks prior I had shot a bear and a coyote with my .270 standing at 90 and 185 yards, respectfully. Both were broadside to me.

I know I didn't react well after the shot with the cat. I felt overconfident with the placement and was blown away/shocked that the cat didn't just drop on the spot. Before mountain lions I've never had an animal run more than 20 yards with a bow or a gun. My first mountain lion this year I shot quartering away with a bow and found the cat ~160 yards from the point of impact.

I don't do well with failure and am trying to figureout what I can learn from this situation to prevent it from happening in the future. Currently, I've decided to pass on the shot if it's presented again. I'll wait for a broadside or a straight on shot.

Naturebob I've had a few people recommend that I should have gone for the neck and I wondered that myself if I should have taken that shot.

I wrote this on the website obviously to get your opinions and hopefully help others if they find themselves with the same shot.

Hopefully you are in a multiple bag limit unit since you state you already shot one this year?

  8. My wife and kids think I'm nuts for just staring at it from every angle. My dog is very worried he's next on the wall.

Chris Krueger did the work and I think he did a great job. Best of luck this year!
