There are other archery seasons. If you dont like it dont hunt it! I go out with friends in August but leave my bow in camp. I dont want to harvest a velvet deer with a mangy coat.

I have been fortunate to have a job where I earn 16 days a year and after 9 years maxed out @ 400 hrs vacation time. (having lots of bonus pts allowed this to happen). Since I dont draw any AZ tags I apply for one out of state hunt a year. I justify the non resident price by only scouting a few days before the hunt opens and only making one trip. I usually try to upgrade or add one newer, better piece of gear a year. (usually tax season)

It was my dads tag and he did kill a nice bull. Everything I had pre- scouted was very busted up when opening day came. He is the bull we were hoping to find sorry for the horrible picture Here is the one we ended up harvesting 1 week befoere we laid him to rest.
