Well, my dad, brothers and I tried our luck with a trail camera this past august and I thought I would share what we got on camera. We first set it up on a tank that was getting water from a spring further up the hill. We set it up on a fence post and thought we had a good angle and view. We went to check the camera and put the pics on the laptop. We looked at them once we got back to the truck. We had a bunch of pics of a big black bird and thought that was it, we looked a little closer and saw that we also had this pic: We decided to move the camera up into the thick brush on a trail that crossed the spring, hoping we would get some deer on it. The next pics are what we got: We also glassed this area 3 different times and glassed up 5 mulie bucks, 2 wt bucks and a bull elk. All the deer were closer to a water hole about 3/4 of a mile from the tank and spring. I'm guessing they are worried about the lion. Anyhow, I thought we had pretty good luck for first timers. bowhuntaz: I know I thought the same thing, very muscular. kidso: We called for him once already with no luck, there are a ton of lay ups above the spring and lots of country back in there, I plan on hunting him a few more times this year and hopefully it all comes together...
