If she were a 20gauge you and i would have met long ago. my 1st real o/u was from elkster9 not that long ago and it is also fixed mod and full chokes and i find it perfect for desert hunting not so much for hunting a farm with a 10yard window to shoot in. but awesome for our typical desert hunting. This gun is still tempting the heck out of me even though it is a 12. Bump

I shoot fixed blade muzzy 3 blade 100 grains and they are accurate all day long at 360fps and as far as ya wanna shoot as long as you have heads tuned to fletching. Be verrrrrry careful what is behind your turkey cuz your x-bow could shoot thru 10 birds in a row. I shot thru a muley at 84 yards no problem. Shot thru a bull elk at 12 yards and found the bolt burried so deep in a pine 30-40 yards behind it that i had to unscrew shaft and leave head in tree. THESE DUDES ARE POWERFUL. GOOD LUCK WITH THE BIRDS!!! I will be in 22

So many variables!!! I will say this, if you can find old scat they are wihin a mile if you find stinky scat you are probably moments from busting them if your in hill country focus on 1 hill/ mtn with food, water, cover/caves/dens and circle it till you find wash/trail they are using. If in flats walk left to right crossing every wash till ya find the active wash then up or down till sign becomes fresh. That is the idiots guide to the stinkers.
