I feel your pain! I did not squeeze trigger on a massive muley laying 100yards off rd this year cuz spotted him & backed up grabbed gun jumped out & stepped off road then had bag of stuff fall out of truck and when I looked atit I realized how bad I looked so I picked it up shut off truck closed doors and stepped off rd again.. YES DEER STILL LAYING THERE. with scope on his neck and safety off with finger on trigger for 2nd time now with me feeling more legal I decided 1 step to left for best shot angle... @&*&%$#@ bad choice cuz he also got up and went faster than my 243 wssm Was 170-180ish. so I harvested a 23incher 10 min later.
