Im tellin ya I thiink they are here.. the 1 I saw at lake pleasant was super pink it was also july but of last year. im learning that crittters dont always mind their borders. if it is not a western than what pink rattler lives here that fits this description and these 2 sightings are only maybe 10 miles apart if that as crow flys and the arizona rattler poster above says 5 subspecies here in arizonaBoth tiger rattlesnakes and speckled rattlesnakes have that pink color variation and both are found in the area of Ben Avery and Lake Pleasant. That blue Rattlesnakes of AZ poster is way outdated on taxonomy. The red one was printed to reflect the taxonomic changes. Many former subspecies of the western rattlesnake complex are now separate species. Many great herpetologists have chased and studied the rattlesnakes of AZ for decades because of their high diversity and high color variation; we know where which species are located pretty well. That poster doesn't show all color variations of speckled or tiger rattlesnakes. Even my Mojaves have wide color variation, which is why I hate the name "Mojave green"! Not all have the green coloration. Check out "A Field Guide to the Amphibians and Reptiles of Arizona" by Brennan and Holycross (2006). Its an AGFD publication and has the most up to date range and taxonomic descriptions of all herps in AZ. I've seen plenty of speckled rattlesnakes at Lake Pleasant. Of all the color variations of the former western (viridis) group, I've never seen or even heard of a pink variation and I've chased rattlesnakes all over this state and many others in the name of research over the last 15 years.. Would love to sit down and talk snakes with you over a beer sometime! I can also email you tons of literature on the break up (genetically) of the entire western rattlesnake complex if you are interested. Rattlesnakes are absolutely amazing! back in the day 35yrs ago or so you just saw western diamonback, mojave (Green), And sidewinders.. heck I havent seen a sidewinder in forever now but I have seen pics of 5 different looking rattlesnakes in 1 weekend behind my house around hiking area. it is getting down right silly! I am jealous there was a day I dreamed of becoming herpetologist. I always had various species as pets then, well, marriage seemed to take care of that.

Sounds like the rattlers should quit sleeping around and it might be easier to identify them. seems like pretty soon they will all be same color Only thing still for certain is if they have rattles watch out.. oh except babies which may not have enough rattle to actually rattle but will still venomate the heck outta ya.. oh and wouldnt it just be swell if they all would actually rattle before invenomating us?? gee creatures God hooked ya up with that fancy tail for a reason.

It is called a Wester Rattlesnake! not western diamondback just called western. this picture is off of a az rattlesnakes poster from game and fish. I saw 1 for first time last july while leaving pleasant. im a bit of a snake freak! always had them as pets and even had 4 rattlers when I was younger and before Venom E.R. was on t.v. This particuilar species would be SUPER pink just after shedding and little less pink as he or she dulls up preparing to shed again.

That attitude right there will see you well into many anniversaries and hunting trips together! Yes she enjoys and I really enjoy her company! and we all know a lady with cold feet or fingers is gonna quit the sport if ya dont remedy for her. guess she always kinda sucked at sports and when I told her she handles bow well and shoots gr8 that lighted the fire! she is not really into guns but im thinkin my kimber 243 with shortened stock and reduced recoil ammo is gonna do the job for her in 6a on a good muley..I baited her in with a .17 hmr and a.222 so were gettin there. she loves venison so that is also a bonus!

Dont worry she has been getting the best! bow and guns top shelf maybe some of hers now better than mine. and im bettng all the clothes I end up getting her will be better than mine also im just kinda puting the feelers out incase anyone has good line on quality affordable. she wont be wering makeup with camos so pretty sure she doesnt need stylish clothes but clothes that fir properly would be a bonus. fit without flare should equal little break on my wallet. thx for the input keep it coming.

Im betting my ranch rifle is much older but I tell ya it functions flawlessly always! man gotta remind yourself to clean it cuz im pretty sure she would keep going no matter what.

Thats it buy an ultralight and be done! In the long run it would be cheaper than the bird for any amount of time then you could rent it to me.

Yes yes we know your kids are tougher than average but do they shoot the 270 wsm over and over at range or just once at animal? when you hunt are they set up on 2 tripods as I see most 10yr olds now when shooting large calibers at 200 to 600 yards? I would say these would be recoil reducing factors. I personally would never EVER hand my 10 yr old a 270 wsm or a 300wm in fear of separated shoulder or breaking clavicle but thats just my personal common sense factored in. now as for adults if they really wanna have a uncomfortable day at range or just like to say they shoot a big gun then this is another dandy to put behind seat of their big lifted truck. gr8 bullet with gr8 ballistics but my experience with it says not worth it. fun how this guys wtb tread turned into caliber debate. whitey you saying how easy they were to shoot is what convinced me to try 1 and that was a big fail. now to be fare it was in a boyds stock with a crappy boyds recoil pad. the end

Yeah 1st hunt video I watched after my painful 2 shots was a chick smokin a big bull with a 270wsm.... oh well. maybe its all in the stock? me dont know or care she is gone. but I would suggest whoever wants 1 to shoot a few first. I would have another if it had a break and that is the only way. just look at the bullet it will explain everything

I have box of ammo you can buy when you get the gun.. my shoulder did not like the 270 wsm very much.. not much at all! 2 shots and I traded her away. dont shoot 1 of these dudes 4 months after a shoulder reconstruction. :'(

I had a old camaro in this color... yes the quad looks much cooler than that car did. ;-)

We will be back in 22lr within 6 months and possibly even cheaper do to the hording that has happened I believe the prices will fall below the $25 a brick to wher we will see $17 sales. IMO

I have never owned a semi auto tristar but have had 2 over & unders and they both did the job! pretty hard to get a semi auto with much lower price than this

Eye dominance aint it a turd I met a father and son 2 yrs ago in in 6a and while talking to the father finally asked how he could see with a i voted sticker on the lens and he said I'M blind. This was after he told me he had already harvested his der. ???? they then showed me how dad has pistol scope on rifle and son sits behind dad and becomes his fathers eyes for him! to me this was an amazing accomplishment especially considering I never did bag a buck.
