Well see that is a good tip.. i have never fished it so thought i would ask. went and looked at it the other day and it is low and tiny. just looking for something close to north phx i can make a regular with my little boat. pleasant is a bit hot but i am debating that for tonight???

Did anyone happen to catch the article in wildlife views about the illegal stocking of lakes and see the picture of the 26lb pike they netted of fools hollow??? i do not have a side to this since i have only been there 1x and i am not a local but i can say out of 2 days of fishing i caught nothing not even a bite and only saw 1 smallmouth taken.. i would go again cuz it was nice and you can swim if ya want.. I stayed in campground and that was first for me ever and possibly things have changed cuz honestly i thought it was really nice! flush toilets and even have showers. i was in Osprey. i thought the fact that i could not exit after 10pm without some secret spy passcode was odd but now hearing about the partying factor that Coach mentioned i get it. i actually about had a meltdown with guy at gate cuz of the code and the fact that they speak to everyone as if i,we, have done this before. grrrrrr! hey when i say this is 1st time ive been here or stayed in a dang campground treat me like i ride the short bus dont talk like i work there!! BUT AGAIN OVERALL DAUGHTER AND I REALLY ENJOYED THE EXPERIENCE! I just dont think fish actually inhabit the lake.

I dont remember who it was that mentioned how they moved at lightning speed to pack out elk but im assuming they hunt in big groups.. see im usually hunting archery elk solo.. put in alone and hunt alone, not sure what buddy would take off 2 weeks to help me pack animal out. this last year i shot cow by waterhole she traveled 30yards maybe.. i as usually relied on couple really cool hunters i met while on my hunt to help me get her in truck so i could get her to camp and in tree. i helped someone else do same thing the night before. now i am finicky and take every single piece of edible meat so maybe this is where we all differ???? see to some it is unethical to leave the main rd and for others like myself it is basically a sin to waste 1 single morsel of edible critter! a few on here would attest to this with me.. see someone could tell me how awesome they are about killin and packing out and having it in truck in hour but, well, im betting the coyotes eat well after these guys. I recruited help then spent all night skinning and cleaning and wrapped her in sheet while hanging with ice packed around hind end so as it melted and ran down body breeze would chill the meat then slept till noon layed her whole body down center of truck wrapped in sleeping bags and delivered to butcher in camp verde.. i saw 3 elk come in while i was there that were full of hair and pine deedles, turning green and just looked like crap.. If packing meat out is something that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy then good for you! if driving in on dry land (not muddy) is what you do then gr8 and be sensible! if wood cutting is what you do then well your already guilty as far im concerned cuz you all make your own rules from what ive seen!!! and as far as quads and other atv's are concerned although i love riding i have to say more bad people than good so i kinda wish they would all be banned. yes i believe the non hunting idiots outweigh the hunter idiots but fact is quad riding hunter idiots hide within our ranks and we should report every single one of them.. Some day these liberties will all be gone.. we are losing rights at pretty fast pace so enjoy while you can! And frown at every yuppy flatlander who has better toys than you just cuz you can!!! Road wreckin, dirt makin, speed law breakin, livin on credit jerks!

I went there over the 4th and believe it was still dark?? dlont know i always have headlamp on.. i remember seeing the solar panels but no light. As for ramps.. yes many ramps are jacked from low water and pier you tie to are basically useless. black canyon lake ramp was ridiculous almost ate my trailer!

Yes you can adjust, they have timer you set for how many seconds=pounds of feed and how many feedings... but they do sling the feed! used cracked corn in it once and when i hit test i did not know the difference in velocity it would make! would have been fantastic time for long sleeves and glasses! what im saying is it would have to be up off ground a bit or as i did few times just wrap base with something for slight deflection or you might blind your birds.

Went up yesterday with duelly overflowing with clothes men-women-children and they were not accepting clothes.. they have had so many donations they turned us away with clothes, it was a beautiful thing to see how many have rallied to help out! they are in need of things just not clothes till they sort it all. they do need volunteers even if only for an hour to help process donations. they need toiletries, paper towels, generators, etc etc its in warehouse behing Big Lots in Prescott. Prescott Goodwill ended up with nice donation from my family.

Myself and friends are taking donation load up to a drop off sorting facility in Prescott for the Yarnell families that lost everything.. just puting it out there incase people on here also wanna do their own collection and get out of town for the day. I also want to put it out there that the phx va med center takes clothing donations and has vets walk in off street every day hoping for something to wear.

Sorry guys think i have used 4 wheels to retrieve every elk i have killed! yes im disabled but even before all that... straight in straight out.. i usually hunt alone and rather like the way my elk meat tastes when handled in this manner. and if they change this or have changed guess that is just 1 more right i have had taken from me this last few years and adds to why im almost, ALMOST done with hunting! soon all the poop talkers will have it to themself and will soon after realize all the bad unproductive laws they helped sign in.
