ok well if all of Phx shoots my bow i will try and get Athens to replace it with the new R-120. so far it is becoming a demo bow that i paid for with my cashola. i just got back from shooting at corner and making sure i wanna part with my alpha max but honestly i shot 2 arrows through Hoyt then shot Athens and i will never shoot my Hoyt Alpha Max 35 again.. absolutely no comparison....

just say when.. it shoots sweet and gets looks from everyone.

AMAZING!!!!!! Im right handed and 29" draw so if that fits you you are welcome to shoot it if ever in PHX. set low like #62 and smokin fast. sweet valley and no fear of droppin the string unexpectidely. it feels like you could hold back forever.. and seriously NO FELT RECOIL OR VIBRATION at all. it just says "thump" very sweet and quiet shooter.

all the exercise feedback is awesome but may i ask which bow you are shooting? i have physical limitations and have had to alter my gear a whole bunch!!! 80% let off a must and a bow with a nice valley so you are not constantly fighting that wall that that you are up against.. these things greatly reduce the constant pressure that arm is feeling.. if you have all that well then exercise and maybe lightest weight legal.. many elk have fallen to 40lbs. and as 6anut said.. stretch-stretch-stretch-stretch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just like when you were a kid in PE, swing arms rotate little circles then big circles!!!

i put large peep on forgetting sight was smaller than usual so this allows way to much drift.. i know i need smaller just hoping someone has same set-up and can save me some guesswork.

just curious.. i put this Axcel Armortech HD 5pin sight on new bow and it has smaller pin housing/aperature so duhhhh put large peep on.. no bueno! so if anyone can save me trying 3 or 4 sizes let me know what size works with your armortech.. im 29 draw Thx and God Bless, Mike

i ordered mine with never shooting and had never shot 1 before.. i read threads about them on Archery Talk.. military gets 20% off if you order from Athens.. for me this was a no brainer after all i had read. Athens bows are draw length specific... but you can also work with their custom shop on colors and stuff i believe. i wanted black.. it is satin but not shiny but definitely not matte black.

Thought maybe some pics might help this is a Matrix.. Double Bull.. you know the not shiny kind!!! used once maybe 2x but i did manage to tear the zipper stop on bottom of door zipper.. zipper is connected but that piece needs glue or tape or stitching or welding or whatever it is you do to zippers on tents. you can set this baby up any way you want it.. even open 360 for a tan if that is your preference! example in bottom pic but not fastened down and only opened part way. really a quite amazing blind but i hunt alone now days and have enough for myself.. $275
