THAT WAS MY STAND!! just kidding. gr8 deer. somebody mentioned it was a twin of his first buck, must have been triplets cuz my first archery buck looked just like him. i just shot my first spot-n-stalk archery deer this year (muley) 2nd proudest hunting day in my life. itty-bitty forkie and man he taste good. CONGRATULATIONS AND COOL HUNTING WITH THE KIDDO!! BY THE WAY. i had a guy send me to a waterhole last November for elk, said first one got busy told me to go to second. i pulled up to first tank and counted - 5 - different stands. 1 ladder, 3 climbers, and a ground blind. so in this case does someone sleep in their treestand night before hunt? why do some people insist on stacking stands like that? pretty stinkin funny.

so do those of us who were ticketed 15 years ago after G&F snuck in their new law (then) for carrying pistols(weapon) in any unit during general javelina or elk hunt unless you had tag. except shotgun shooting shot whith active hunt going on in same area where shotgun was needed. so, to break it down. if your kid had a tag and you were carrying sidearm you got ticket. if you were hunting yotes in unit whith general pig or elk going on and you did not have a tag for one of those hunts, you got a ticket. AND IF YOU SHOT YOUR PIG AND HAD LAID PIG, AND RIFLE YOU SHOT IT WITH DOWN, YET STAYED ON THE MTN. TO SEE IF FRIENDS HARVESTED AND WALKED DOWN BEING THE ONLY HUNTER WHO TAGGED OUT BUT WERE STILL WEARING PISTOL YOU GOT A TICKET FOR "IN PURSUIT OF GAME IN EXCESS OF BAG LIMIT" he sat in wash below watching with binocs why yes it was lame to pay that stupid ticket, yes it was. i went to court with 3 witnesses only to walk in and find G&F officer having coffee with judge in chambers. i through my wallet on desk and when asked what it was for, i replied it looks like you have made your decisions so take what i owe you!! YEP, not to smart, but it sure felt good. yes they dropped that law a while back. DO WE GET OUR MONEY BACK?? what a scam that was.

WOW, what a terrific way to make the hunting community look bad. i remember when i was a kid to young to hunt big game and not knowing you could harvest anything without antlers. my family was in Flagstaff area and drove past an abandoned campsite with 3 cow elk heads posted on sticks. 30 years later i still remember our disgusted feelings and anger at hunters who did such a thing. i can only assume that anyone else would feel the same way in this case. the man who stumbled accross this was disturbed and he is a hunter, what if he wasnt?? this means of disposal is just flat out WRONG! i understand dumping if thats the best theve got, but like this? in that location? with no head and (HANDS) as the anti-s might say... shame on you G&F arent we under enough criticism already???

i have had a little experience watching the lake stalkers every single elk tag i have drawn in 6a or been on anyone elses hunt there i make a point of spending an afternoon watching the lake stalkers it goes something like this- - - - a pair of swaros, lunch, comfy chair, and a cold beverage and you have free entertainment. in their defense i will tell you i have seen a successful bull and cow hunt in that swamp. ya should have seen them getting elk out.
