Kind of the same feelings here. I grew up around horses think my sister has about 20 right now I fear that if I went out and shot a horse if I had a tag my sister would never talk to me again LOL. Although it does sound like a good bit of meat and I've heard it taste pretty good my sister would be so mad. Now donkeys on the other hand I think I've gotten to the point where if they issued a tag I'd go ahead and go take one. If they ever issued tags I might start considering it that is a lot of meat. I am so so sick of people calling them Wild Horses rather than Ferrell. Granted when you see a picture of one of them standing in the river it's a beautiful picture looks amazing but they are not supposed to be out there they are jacking with our native animals just like the donkeys are we really seriously need something done about these invasive species. There's places I used to hunt deer and javelina that I can go to and glass for 2 or 3 days and not see one single deer or javelina but I will glass up 50 60 donkeys a day easy. Crap there's donkey crossing signs all the way down by my house at Happy Valley and I-17 LOL. They may not actually be right here but they are 2 minutes from my house north of me. Heck they walk across the range at Ben Avery. I don't hang out a lot where the horses are but I understand the problem is getting really bad. If you go on a website like I believe it's called The Cavecreekers infamous bulletin board or something like that you know Cave Creek used to be full of cowboys and cowgirls, Ranch people, now it's more full of artsy-fartsy hippies and when you get on there so many of them are posting about these so-called wild horses and posting all this petition stuff and sign this and sign that and they have no clue these are the same people that are feeding wild animals in their backyard and then their neighbors are complaining about all the Damage Done to their yards or their pets being eaten. The liberal mindset is just bewildering

Mike I think it's calling your name. I do like it! I have one I got when I was a kid but it's the new model and it doesn't have the mag cylinder :-( I do have a pretty much brand new Heritage Rough Rider with both cylinders that when I saw this post I almost posted that one for sale so I was going to put the money towards this one :-)

Remember they actually made them for the 30 30 also but then they realized that shoving a pointy tip into the primer ahead of it to load a lever was not a good idea LOL I'm sure some gun owners paid dearly for them to find out. I have a mom who's scared to go out to eat on any kind of holiday so we always have to celebrate before or after LOL as for my wifey our baby was sick so very chill weekend along with much lack of sleep every time his fever spiked. Wpuld also be nice home defense shotgun its very smppth and fast action., Ok so with much talk recently about some newer model (big name) pump shotguns that suck I'm gonna offer up a smooth sliding oldie. J.C. Higgins model 20 in 12 gauge 2 3/4 with the Power Pac choke system. I have 1 medium range and 2 long range. These chokes run $30-$50 each when you find them. So shotgun has EXCELLENT wood! Action is like butter! Some surface rust here and there but considering age a very nice and solid shotgun. The old recoil pad is missing a small chunk. Barrel without choke system is 21.5" and with Power Pac is 25.5" This would be a great budget TURKEY gun if you don't mind 2 3/4 high brass #4 👍 or yote gun whatever! It's also perfectly capable of thumping dove. $250 cash with Power Pac no trades and that's less than what those guns that lock up cost otd and this 1 is real wood. I included a couple screenshots of chatter about this gun and power pac from different hunt forums. North Phoenix ftf deal and must be Az resident and legal to own

I had the honor of knowing Stevies Aunt and Uncle Gene and marylou when i lived in Christopher Creek. They used to come visit there during the summer when they all still owned Compton Terrace. Mary Lou used to show up with a bunch of t-shirts from the concerts (she worked a t-shirt stand) guess she thought I was some poor mountain boy and I couldn't buy my own t-shirts. LOL they introduced me to their granddaughter who's related to Stevie however and we ended up dating. Probably some of the nicest down to earth people I've ever met when I went to their house in going to South Scottsdale that's when it kicked in who where they were when I saw all the gold records and stuff on the wall it pretty crazy. Gene was a pretty big man you want to take me trout fishing at one of the lakes and I told him as long as I got to take him Creek Fishing. We went to the lake he caught his limit I caught nothing I took him to the creek and i vaught my limit but I guess almost killed him he reminded me after about 3 miles of hiking that he had had 2 open heart surgeries already and that it was probably time to return home 😂 They used to love my smoked trout by the fire pit and i ejoyed the vodka tonics they introduced me to.
