I lived up there long ago spent 3-4 days a week in Naegelin area and when all the turkey hunters and quads roll in the birds push right out. Be sure to not rely on where they are now but pay closer attention to where they will move to. 👍 that whole area got hammered years back when G&F decided to makes it their must see place for unit 23 turkey hunters on website.

Its great when wifey gets into it. Mine isnt going this year, but shes supportive. Until I read off a few items we needed for the hunts this year...You mean like when I was pulling out rifles from my wife to use on the javelina hunt recently and she said when did I get this? Are when we are sitting by the truck glassing and she said when did I get these binoculars? LOL but this was the first time I felt like she knew I was actually trying to set her up to enjoy it more it was really cool. It's a good day when Mama is happy. I have been BLESSED way beyond what I deserve.

I do believe my wife gets to elk hunt this year. she is really starting to like all this hunting stuff. 😃😀😍

Crazy these have not sold! The Meindl is a good $300 boot. I sold similar Italian & German made boots and they make the Chinese Danner line look toilet paper vs steel.

The problem is not about lefties or radical anti's. It's about hikers, mountain bikers, car-campers, joggers, and many other people that don't even use the forest, but are voters. I don't remember the exact numbers, but only something like 5-10% of people hunt and only around 5%-10% are firmly against hunting. The 80% in the middle can swing either way. A lot of people mistakenly believe we have some God given right to hunt. Not so, at least not in Az (some states do have the right to hunt as part of their state constitutions, but when it was tried here the voters shot it down). We have the privilege to hunt as long as the state allows it. This privilege can be revoked in a single election cycle theoretically. It won't happen like that, but they're already chipping away a piece at a time. Bear baiting in dozens of states, lion hunting in Cali., the new cat prop that's coming up here in Az, etc. Most of these people believe that meat grows on trees some where and killing cute animals is a barbaric past time that is not necessary for them to enjoy a hamburger. Stupid and counter intuitive as it sounds, there's a ton of people that eat meat who will readily vote against hunting. PETA & the Humane society will get them to vote in favor of not killing "non food" animals like cats, bears, raccoons, foxes, etc. We all know that people eat lions & bears, but they're not generally seen as food by non-hunters, and most non hunters don't like killing for sport. Heck, I'm a hunter and I won't kill anything that I won't eat. We're all big boys and all entitled to our own opinions, but we should at least think about the consequences of our actions in a social media world where an "offensive" picture can go viral in a matter of hours and stir up a frenzy of negative publicity. +1 I have hunted some very tree hugging looking places lately and have had pretty good feedback from those I thought were against me.. Had I acted differently they may be voting against me. We can't make everyone happy but no use pissing them off.

I feel so left out here.. I only got emails saying I applied and my $13 charges, or whatever it is now, the day i applied. Did I miss out on contact from the beloved G&F? The folks who ban me from speaking my mind about wolves and giveaway elk on their F.B. page? The folks who cater to the anti hunters on their Facebook page? Dang I want those emails...

Pictures posted only thing I see wrong with it is it has one of the early model limbsaver recoil pads that dissolved with contact on carpet in the floor of the safe. Dent in Vent rib was straightened out (Remington Turkey special, complete camo, turkey choke, shoots up to and including 3 1/2". Maybe 15 rounds shot thru it, because of age and shift in interest it has not been fired in 5 years or more. Case and a few rounds included.) Up to 3.5", 24" barrel without extended Turkey choke in barrel. I have him looking for his chokes and choke key. He thinks 2 Turkey chokes and 1 modified $325 cash NO trades. Phoenix

I definitely agree with AZLance although if many of us have or still do it for strangers we don't even particularly like then how could ANYONE stand by while kids are being hurt? Personally I'm that guy that stops to help with every accident and risks his own self for a stranger but my family knows this is who I am. My family knows that a strangers life might be protected any day and mine might be lost and im not on the job it's just built in from God, Life, Military, and my Character. I can't help but figure even facing death or being fired from job my butt would have been in that school with not much hesitation at gate except to yell at those with guns they were hiding. This is a horrible tragedy with no forseen end in sight anytime soon. The more we publicise the more it will happen.
