  1. Please pray for a successful surgery and the answers to some pain questions. Unfortunately while working this hip up we learned it is about time the other is done so this 1 just has to work! I have done everything you could imagine to treat the thigh pain and weakness and now we have circled back to where it all started yet again my necrosis and hip replacements and nerve damage etc etc.

I just wanna be able to play with my kids and bend down without agonizing pain in my leg. Honestly at this point I just don't care about hunting and hiking I just wanna be able to bend and play with my youngest child.

Lord please guide the gifted hands of my surgeon and allow him to restore my leg to me. Please God heal my bones and relieve my pain and all that goes along with that. Please restore my body so my mind can focus more on You and your will for me.  AMEN

    Mike,

I too was an Army vet, but during the Viet Nam War era. I am so very sorry to hear that VA has pretty much left you in a bad situation, very sorry! I was told that VA would always cover my medical regardless, but that was a lie. You have had many back surgeries at this point, and you will likely be reaching a point at which most back surgeons will not want to treat you.

A suggestion, if so inclined to do so: At your own expense, Call Mayo and ask for a Neurosurgeon/spine specialist consultation. Ask Mayo during your call what this consultation would cost you out of pocket. If you can afford it I would state my condition, and provide ALL my surgery X-ray, and MRI imaging, as well as all your textual reports. You must let Mayo know up front that you have had no real success from any past doctor or procedure. If you can get a suggestion as to treatment/treatments that would/could correct your issues, as best as possible, you might want to contact a VA appointed advocate. Many of these guys are incredible and persistent in helping you through the VA Charlie Foxtrot, to get you the action you need. It is worth a try, after all it is your back. I am going to be 69 soon, and I suspect you are far younger than I, and if so you have many years more of life to hope to enjoy. I have two neighbors that had VA issues, in one case a neighbor went to Senator McCain's office, the other neighbor went to Senator McSallys's office. In both cases the VA had its 'Act immediately' orders, and both issues were resolved immediately.

I am now seven weeks out of surgery, and my current issues being worked out are strength and coordination of my left foot and leg. Due to my scoliosis and arthritis my right leg muscles became very strong and overwhelming. During my operation the largest leg muscle was cut, to allow a more balanced strength between the left and right sides. The instrumentation within the lumbar area is so far proving to of no issue as far as pain. The surgeon stated that the right leg would take up to six months or more to bring up to normal strength. This is where I have been having neuropathic pain issues, but all in all everything is responding well to therapy and exercise. I can walk a from 1.6 to 4.0 miles, on moderate trail surfaces. I avoid any hard impacts, and plan my steps accordingly. These hikes bring on quite a bit of exhaustion and some pain, but everyday things improve. Like anybody else I get impatient and feel like things are taking too long, but I find that common with most of us. Here is an article covering the typical things and issues to expect after spine fusion: https://www.mommyrunsit.com/recovery-from-spinal-fusion-surgery-or-what-to-expect-when-your-bones-are-fusing/

Mike, I hope you soon improve to your satisfaction either with the doctors you are working with, or the surgeons you may have access to. Remember, you will reach a point at which most doctors will not accept you as a patient. VA needs to support and aid the veterans who served to protect the United States, period. No piece of paper, whether The Constitution, Bill Of Rights, or any other document ever gave any country or its citizens the freedoms they earned through war. It is only the soldier, or veteran, armed with his rifle, or nuclear missile, standing on that wall, that ensure our rights and freedoms.

Please let me know how you fare, and the very best of luck to you!

Please feel free to PM me at any time.

I just saw this thank you. Getting ready to post another prayer request for another surgery in a few hours. 😕

  3. Up I want them to find new homes. As noted above I just removed them, both work! I don't want them to sit and get warped and also do not want them to have to be stores, trust me I have no room for them. If no interest that is fine I will post elsewhere and someone will come get them to sell I imagine. 😕 they are both super nice looking and in great condition

I refuse to hang old ceiling fans that are taken down in one piece, you can never get them to balance again, or all the screws are missing. This one looks fine.

Yes the only screws missing here would be for the mounting brackets cuz they were used on the new mounts.  Someone should have the screws in whatever mount they already have up. **& btw these came off yesterday 6-27-20 (heck 1 at midnight 😔) so they have not been sitting in a Phx garage on the ground with 2 blades getting warped. 👍 :) I know exactly what you mean.

The boys baseball fan. It has a home plate that gets glued to ceiling. Mounting plate also included with this one

  6. Ok I finally took down the girly girl ceiling fan and replaced with a manly white fan for my 3 year old boy. :) the fan had a few squeaks but was still running good.

I don't remember the brand but my daughter is now married so it is the brand that seems to run forever. Fan is roughly 44" and has butterfly's on the pull chains.

👉I cannot charge anything for it cuz we got our $ worth.

I am by no means a electrician and I can hook up and hang ceiling fans as long as pre wired :)This one is the easy kind also, once the black piece is mounted the fan hangs in it while you connect wires. Easy peasy!

    North Phoenix pick up.

Chit CNN is trying keep schools closed until at least February..

Well CNN can suck it! If schools stay closed we will homeschool our kids and never let them go back.. really what are they learning anyways? Sorry you good teachers but for the most part "F" is the grade I give most public school teachers trying to flip our kids.

But I just walk out back. You have to drive and search. Find me a Tom and they'll be more again. Coyotes killed 14, including two Tom's.

    Need fewer coyotes in town.

My sis had all her chickens wiped out recently by dang bobcat.. had to do some serious cage reinforcements. She now has turkeys also. Think she is returning to how we grew up: she has dozen+ horses + breeds them cuz (fancy show horses), 2 pigs, chickens, turkeys, think still has goats, sheep, I am holding a tortoise for her till it is bigger so probably 5 more dang years...

The thing is when I was a kid we raised beef and pork also chickens and turkeys for food and eggs from birds and showed horses and our big floppy eared goats I think were just there to kick my a**. Today she only eats the dang eggs from chickens everything else gets to live 🤷‍♂️  but I have to take game meat and striped bass over for dinner so something wrong with this picture...

Good luck with the turkey search!

These look like highly suitable for camping. During camping, you have to take a lot of things. so, these must be lightweight. in this regard, i have experienced some awesome extraordinary lightweight camping gear here https://campinggoal.com/

Dang you joined 3 hours ago to suggest people go to your website to purchase cookware rather than this guys post you spammed?? 😂🤡🤡🤡

I've received a couple of PM's asking "what year is this rifle"?

The serial number is B6338334.  When I tried to do some research on it, all I came up with is "B" meant it was made in the 80's.  Is there a way of telling what the exact year was?  Thanks!

Without looking it up I would say that is accurate looking at it. How about 82-84ish

  11. My old stainless Mini  (Ruger ranch rifle I believe) has never had hiccup EVER! The rifle will run on anything. I bought it from my x girlfriend's Senior Chief dad when i was Navy.. L.O.L. he had just got done sitting on the roof of a gun shop he moonlighted at during the riots in Cali. I got a large stack of 40 rnd stainless mags still in packing with it.

Not sure how anyone couldn't love the old mini 14's!
