My first Bull I killed with a bow was when i was 16, I shot him at 65 yards with a vortex and PSE and it was a complete pass through! 285 P/Y . My second was at 45 yards and it went through as well and stuck in a tree on the other side of him and died in 80 yards. 356 p/y. i tell people, most of them are not as ignorent as you, that as long as you are confident with what you shoot you are good to go. If you can hit a paper plate out to (X) yards every time then shoot. I can shoot my crazy fast X-Force at 80 lbs with carbon arrows and hit a paper plate everytime out to 110 yards. does that make me a bad hunter....? No, i practice! i know people that can shoot a stick bow out to 60 yards and hit plate every time out to 60 yards! Would that make them less of hunter because they are just that good? no...because they practice! My self and many of my friends have never wounded animal, but you have the B@lls to say we arnt good hunters because we can shoot a bow over 100 yards or a rifle over 700 yards....its called practice....oh yeah PS, I have petted a coues deer that I stalked! Oh another thing, Im only 30, I hope you stay in New Mexico! The hunting is too good here to waist a tag on you! Peace I'm out! Mark

The AZ score is the two lengths of the horns and the bases of the horns added together. It is only a number that is used with the G & F. Its not for a record book or anything like that. The other ram was probably thicker out toward the tip, that's why the over all score would be higher. I hope this helps. Mark

Im not 100% sure but because it comes not directly of the main beam i think it should be scored as a NT point and you then would not take the mass measurment there and score it as a 3 point with one extra coming of the G3. I think im right....not fore sure though!!! Mark

i love quads i just dont have one. I know the rules in NM. i saw a cool bumpersticker the other day. "Use the quads god gave you" i got a kick out of that!

i shot my deer last year at 745 yards away...i also know what i am doing. if you want to talk $hit abou AZ hunters...thats pretty messed up. I was up in norther New mexico not to long ago on a public land hunt for Antelope with a muzzaloder and there were guys with NM plates shooting lead across the flats at running goats that we were trying to go after at 300+ yards with Bud Light cans falling out of the truck, none of them followed up on any of there shots. Its too bad that there are people out there like that but dont throw AZ into the group of @ss holes that give the true hunters a bad name. ~ Mark

As far as it comes to being able to make calls when you need to or want I have hardly ever had a problem with Verizon. There are some places that it wont work but i have friends wanting to use my phone to call home. i dont have an iphone or a smart phone. you cant beat Verizon....sorry to say and they are growing so they will only get better!

Far from liberal or lefty. Just put up a few numbers, that's all. Pretty childish to resort to name calling over that. I never said things weren't bad in Mexico. Only said that I have been there many times and will continue to go. Why so quick to jump on the offensive?? All I was pointing out is that 9200 murders per year over a population of 113,000,000 is roughly 8 per 100,000 people, not a super high number when compared to a lot of other places. Common sense and avoiding certain areas will go a long ways in helping a person not be one of those 8. But I guess wanting to keep visiting Mexico makes me a "lefty liberal" I can't wait until the day when I get to go hunt coues down there. The number that is talked about is far less than what really happens down there. There is many more that are "taken care of" then noted in any report or any news program! i love going to Mexico and i have hunted and guided down there. there are places to go and places not to go. Also places to go at times and times in the day or night not to go. Just like any place in our country there are a good and bad in every city. there are places in LA and even Phoenix that I dont want to go because its not a good idea at perticular times. The one of the many problems people overlook down there is that it is NOT the U.S.!! We don't have the same rights! Period!

Ever since i missed a couple nice bucks at steap angles I pulled out my old trig book and figured it out. The left side of the chart is the angle. the top line is the ranged yardage. where the yardag and the angle come together on the chart is what yardage you should shoot for.... thought it might help because i was not sure what the device is that this gentlman came up with. dont mind the bottom chart that is just the my ballistic plex yardage Mark

Well...my dad and I backpacked a few miles into 32 a few years back and I had a new gun with a great scope. i went in a day before him to set up camp and had a funny thing happen. i was a bit of the way in he was going to join me the next day because he had to work. it was still the day before the hunt, so i got in, filled up our water from a spring filtered it and went out to scout. got back had some dinner and it was a bit differnt being in the middle of nowwhere, by your self in a little spike camp for the first time miles from any roads. I liked it though, well i got woken up in the middle of the night with something making a bunch of noice...all I thought was bear. So i got out of the tent and with my rifle in one hand and a rock in the other....it was a huge black bull rubbing up against a tree right by my little tent.....i felt dumb Now on to the shot...i had this buck picked out before my dad got in. found him the morning he was hiking in and i was going to hunt him the next day. It was a group of 5 bucks. I found 4 of the 5 in the morning but wanted to go after him in the evening. He was over 100 but not 110+( Sorry Devin had to do it, no disrespect brotha) i missed that buck that evening at 250 yds 5 times at about a 45 degree angle down hill, if i had a spotter i would have gotten him but its tough when youre by your self, my dad was hunting some other bucks! good luck to all for all your hunts!
