Ward's Outfitters 2013 Starting Out Great.
mace replied to wardsoutfitters's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
In the future when outfitters are putting up kill numbers like this. Im not saying you dont work hard at it, but to say that baiting has nothing to do with that is seriously hard to believe. I tried not to post anything about this for several days but it just ate on me too much...I just hate to see our future oppurtunities lost to support someones business to be able to boast 90% success on coues deer -

First things first, my name is Mason Cochran. Want that known before I even start here. Second, I dont agree with you pushing back on a guy asking you a question about your baiting. I for one have no real problem with a baiting ban. I do however not believe for a minute that baiting is not a huge part of your operation. If it werent why would you been totally against AZ G&F putting a ban on it. If that werent enough, you have put the time and effort into making a BAIT that is "salt based that the deer cant resist even in winter months". I have been an Arizona resident my whole life and I love the oppurtunity to get to hunt with my rifle & my bow in the same year. I do know that the G&F will have no choice but to continue to cut back our hunting opportunities -

Four more pairs of ISE tix to give away!
mace replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Contests and Giveaways!
I could use a pair. Going on Saturday with the fam. -
I am glad to hear that Jim's photo got first place. I went through the list several times thinking I was missing it somewhere. It is without a doubt one of the best field photos I have ever seen. That photo could easily be any one of us who passes on our passion of hunting.

Hey Lucky One shouldn't you be working right now instead of dreaming about shootin things? LOL

I'm not positive, but I think it sits between 106&1/8 and 106&3/8. Hope that helps you out. If anyone else needs any help please let me know!

You absolutely deserve that buck. I guarantee you most people would not have stayed with it as long as you did, excellent lesson to so many. Glad to see your diligence rewarded.

Way to go Buddy!! Good job!

First of all, Congatulations on your deer. Sounds like a great time, and awesome to be able to capture it on film. I question why anyone why anyone even bothers to post threads on this site anymore. It seems like so many members are looking for an excuse to jump all over someone about their "ethics". AZhunterNCJ, you are right in the fact that we do have the freedom to voice our opinions. We also have the right to keep our comments to ourselves, which is something that would be better used the next time we look to "question" the actions of one of our members. I am sure it would be greatly appreciated by most of the people on this site.

I REALLY hope I didn't offend you bud. I was just having a little fun. I am happy for you. Continued good luck.

So I guy with "deer lures" hanging from his ears was hunting coyotes with a "manlicker" gun stock?!?! Just what the heck is going on here? What else should we know about? Just kidding bud, hope you got a laugh out of it. Again, great job.

Congrats on a great buck. Thanks for putting in all of the details, it got me pumped for my hunt in a week or so, heck it almost felt like I was there watching you. Good job! So where would I find those "deer lures" you're wearing?

Rex Jensen of Wildlife Artist Studios out of Virden, New Mexico does an excellent job on deer as well. I have a few mounts that he has done for me, including one from 15 years ago, and the quality is still exceptional. He is a great guy that takes alot of pride in bringing the animal back to life.

Great buck!! How about some field photos and a story?!!

Congrats!! How about 94&4/8.

MI man fined and revoked for killing elk too close to homes
mace replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
From what I understand the tag that he shot the bull on was from the previous auction and was to expire at the end of the month that he shot it in. -

Was there any information about the liability of the outfitter? Seems as though he would be responsible as well, since the client is under his direction. -
Congrats on the successful hunt. Kinda looks like unit 33? It looks like your Dad is waring an IBEW hat, is that correct. I am a lineman in Local 387 and always like seeing my brothers out hunting. Again, congrats.
