Well this is kinda funny to me I remeber when I first started fletching I was having trouble getting proper vane adhesion to the shaft with the blazers. I was doing it helical and I went to sportsman and asked someone at the counter about it and they told me blazers are not designed for helical Fletching. Well A few months later I was looking at the Bohning website and it said right there that they recommended helical thats when I started to recognize that Sportsman couldn't hack it. They have since updated the info on it. They say now that the recommend a 2 degree offset or a 3 degree helical (offset is when you use a straight clamp and helical is when you use a helical clamp.) They also make the statement taken straight from their website: You must pay attention to the diameter of the shaft, because the smaller the diameter of the shaft the less offset you can apply to your fletch. The larger the diameter of the shaft the greater the offset you can apply to your vane. This also means that you must reset your jig when fletching different size arrows. Be sure you follow the instructions from above to ensure the vane makes contact with the shaft along the entire base of the fletch. But so you know in there '09 catalog it says about the 2 and 3 degree. I personnally use the 3degree helical and really like the way the fly.

The woodsman colt is a 22 im guessing as thats the kind my great-grandfather owned. There is a old family story about him using to kill a bear thats a pretty good story and if I had the cash I would buy it in a heart beat.

Well after looking into the rules on the T/C heres what I have come up with. Nothing. Most I can find has to do with the conversion of the gun between the rifle configuration and the pistol configuration. It says you have to "legally" drop 200 to reregister thegun with the ATF to switch the gun between rifle and pistol or back again. Whatever it legally was registered is how it has to stay. It says for it to be a pistol its barrel length had to stay under 16 inches. But I don't know if its worth anything to this post.

I love the archery stalk. I have pretty much gotten away from rifle. I have never harvested a big game with the bow but I love getting in on them and that has happened too many times. I always have seemed to blow it some way or another. But i plan on keeping at it.

Wow I may be the only person out there that didn't like the gold tips

I have been using the Beman ICS hunters I have really liked them. They were abour 54 per dozen last time I bought them they were unfletched but I went ahead and did that. I liked them way more than the Gold tip seemed a little nicer.

Not sure I understand here cause no AZ stores are listed on the list. Does this mean that they are unaffected by any of this????? Either way I guess I'd better go use all the gift cards but I really dont want anything.....thats less than 400... -
I say you ought to put it on ebay cause one sold on there yesterday for $420. Hope it sells its a nice bow.

Sweet gun like the engraving there.

Well all I know is that its a bit unfair for someone to be using a 22-250 T/C on a Ham hunt or whatever other large centerfire caliber they have it in. How does that really qualify as a handgun come on.

Before you go with the trigger one Just my thoughts. SOUND sometimes the buggers make to much of a slap sound when they extend which could be a problem in some cases...

Congrats Im in the same boat as you got a boy due here in a couple weeks and we have it narrowed down. Awhile ago we both agreed we liked the name Barrett Dane/Cole Anderson but I was afraid people would call him Barry which I dont like at all. So then I have been pushing the name Brig Crighton Anderson. Well thats not going over cause she is under the impression that we are going with Barrett and now has made ots of baby stuff with the name Barrett. Good luck on all that. Hussein is always a good name....

That mention of the Bible by Rembrandt makes me wonder if maybe the flood of Moses time was a result of Global Warming.... Wait a minute does that mean Gore is our Moses... Oh God help us please. Scientists are so screwed up when they can't believe in God because they are to pig headed. They can understand few of the most intricate mysteries that few people on the planet can. But, they cannot realize some of the most plain to sight miracles that prove there is a God. Oh yeah and Global Warming sucks.

I suggest we all read a book called State of Fear by Michael Crighton. By far the awesomest person on earth. The whole book is on the BS of Global warming. From what I understand Crighton was anti Global Warming. Quick story about this. Al gore was asked one day what he thought about Crightons anti-global warming sentiment by a reporter. Gore proceded to comment that Crighton should leave that kind of stuff to those whom are qualified to make judgements on that. He said he should stick to he knows... writing fiction. Well for those that dont know heres some of Crightons stats. Crichton graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College, received his MD from Harvard Medical School, and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, researching public policy with Jacob Bronowski. He taught courses in anthropology at Cambridge University and writing at MIT.(taken from his website) SO anyways point of the story is that in order to understand Global Warming or climate change we need to be like Al to understand it. Gore graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government cum laude from harvard. I guess its just to simple for me to understand. After all a biology degree isnt that good anymore. I just don't believe it to Al's radical level...What am I supposed to think????

Well after practicing forever trying to get my bow feeling good out to sixty yards I decided that it was time to find my arrows that are flying best. I don't know if many of you do it (or if I'm just that anal about it) but basically right before a hunt after all the extra practice I get all my arrows and shoot them at a target at 30 yards. I pick the five that group the tightest and use those for my hunt. Well after practicing out around 50-60 yards bringing it back in to 30 seemed a lot easier to group them. After flinging my fifth arrow into the group I saw it bounce back at me. I went over to see what happened and saw this: I was so stoked to see my group tight enough to have done the "Robin Hood" thing. Waste of an arrow but who cares I was totally excited. And here is one of the practice groups at forty yards the orange circle is 3" So needless to say I am so stoked to go out Javelina hunting this Friday and I hope to at least come back with something

Wait do you mean over the counter or left-over tag because all the over the counter tags or for Metropolitan units. Cant hunt in unit 28 with an over the counter tag....I think.
