  1. Well there are a few things that I have learned. I didnt stick with my first bow long. Lets be honest how much do you really know about what you want. So heres a suggestion:

Looking back I would have bought my first bow as one I knew would hold its value the best. Let me say : "I DO NOT think Mathews are the best bows" but I know they hold their value the best due to the huge fanbase. I have bought and sold almost every mathews out there. Hands down you will loose the least money while you "Figure" archery out. The other side of this coin is sooooo many people love and worship their Mathews that its likily you will like it from the get go and stick with it. Either way its a good way to go. Currently have a Rytera. Favorite bow ever was PSE x-force 6hf. Favorite Mathews was the Legacy. Favorite Bowtech was the Allegiance. Hoyt never owned one they look ugly.

Next someone said stick to Archery talk for used accessories. Im 100% with him I spend a lot of time over there and there are lots of good deals to be had. But know what your buying do your research.

Someone said buy a good rest (Ultrarest or Ripcord) I agree. I'd just like to add stick with something thats full capture like those two it will make learning easier.

Someone said a 7 pin site. Uh..... why..... hes learning not trying to win the triple crown. KISS ( Keep It Simple Stupid) is what I say. A good 5 pin is good enough I started with a 3.

I like Bear Mountain I just like the guys I deal with at the archery counter. I dont know as much as they do but at least they dont make me feel dumb.

  2. What an unabashed hypocrite we have for a president! Sanction and promote the murder of unborn babies for political gain, and then go on tv and, supposedly, wipe tears from your eye over the murder of 5-6 yr olds!

i don't think this is the moment for this kind of comments, i have kids and i can't imagine waking up in the morning and see them, imagine all those parents that lost their kids, we need to support them not make negative comments about anything else.don't mean to offend anybody with my comments.

just my thoughts and prayers in a very difficult moment for all those people

    +1

Let's keep it classy out of respect there will be plenty of time coming up.

  3. favorite quote from Obama:

" Most recently out in Aurora. You know, just a couple of weeks ago, actually, probably about a month, I saw a mother, who I had met at the bedside of her son, who had been shot in that theater.

And her son had been shot through the head. And we spent some time, and we said a prayer and, remarkably, about two months later, this young man and his mom showed up, and he looked unbelievable, good as new."

    I love it.....

Uh a few weeks ago I saw this guy.... Then 2 months later he!!!!!

  4. Rytera Alien X bow.

Custom dipped in predator camo everything but quiver is in matching camo including the cams and the peep sight. The case is also in matching camo. Only accessory it needs is a rest. Draw length is adjustable I think it's 27 to 30". Draw weight is 55 to 70#. There is wear around the grips which by the way are carbon fiber. Advertised IBO is 340fps. It has been crackerized and has his strings on the bow which are still in good shape.

    Tru glo bone collector quiver

    Paradigm SOS

    Paradigm CTA.

Price for all this is $475 trades I'm interested in 40 cal or AR stuff. Sorry pics dont do it justice.

  5. Really thought these looked good!!! But.... I can fletch a lot of arrows for 20 bucks. I guess I'll still try em but there is no way I can afford to refletch 3 dozen arrows with these($102.94). They should eliminate some of the packaging and save some money.

  6. No you dont. Just have to be able to line it up consistently for accuracy. Incidently that is a lot easier for some people when they line up ring to ring but by no means is it mandatory. My point of reference for shooting is my kisser button. I feel I can shoot continuosly accurate with that. I never take the time to line up the rings when I feel that button hit the corner of my mouth I know I'm lined up

  7. 31 grains.... that's pretty heavy. My FOC is already pretty poor with Blazers at 15 grains...

    Absolutely important I agree.

But for me 5 inch wrap with 3- 3 inch vanes @8 grains apiece. I might be ahead with these. Only concern is my helical is a little more than 2* Im sure. I like my arrows with a little more spin.

  8. Love the idea. I have been fletching arrows for a while now just so I can shoot the vanes I want (3" fusions) at the offset/helical I want. But, anyone who fletches arrows knows that fletching a couple dozen arrows is pretty time consuming. This looks like a good Idea I will be trying these out when I can find some.

Heat shrinks never worked well for me and Fobs hated my Ripcord rest. The fact that these are glued on should solve the problems I've experienced with the heat shrink fletching and is there is a lot about fobs that this improves over.

  9. Do both. Glass mornings and evenings. sit water (sleep) between 10:00 and 3:00.

HaHa i do the exact opposite of what he says aside from the sleeping and finding bucks has never been a problem for me. Just goes to show not necessarily a wrong way to do it. GO off your experience and the area your hunting
