Big D just showed me the pics last night, congrats jeff your on a roll this season!

Well done guys! I like the photos they turned out really nice. I love seeing fellow backcountry hunters filling their tags. And so what if they did reveal where you were to a couple people but 95 percent of the people don't know where you were and probably wouldn't even go in there because they like their comfy trucks too much! Congrats

Im so pissed I wasted time reading this

This guide is a beast. He looks like he is hiking in rubber boots and smokes cigarettes while hiking at what has to be 12000 or more feet up. They take some really bad shots, but cool video. He has some others I'm watching right now.

I cant stress how hard hunting antelope with a bow is, but it can be done. The hardest part about it is getting close enough to one to where the time of flight on the arrow is short enough to where they don't move much after you shoot. Even inside 60 yards a standing still antelope can move 2-3 body lengths from where they were when you shot.

Now thats a cool buck I would have shot him over anything I saw on my hunt

My buck from 18B, shot him coming into water yesterday afternoon and 60 yards. He ran 90 or so yards and expired. Will upload story later, too tired and sunburned to do it now. My other buddy that happen to draw the same tag shot a buck the day before that goes about 78-80, when he emails pics I'll put his pics up. I scored this one at 82 4/8 gross 79 4/8 net hope I did it right because that's big. Thanks for reading, Connor

SOLD Love the sacrifice so far but haven't put it through the ringer like my 2200

Selling my badlands 2200 pack it has new waist buckle and zipper tabs just haven't changed tabs yet. You can send it in and they will fix anything for free, forever. The zipper to the backdoor of the main compartment only works in 1 direction, but if it bothers you they can fix it for free, forever. I can send it in for you and fix it, just add shipping if its more than 10 bucks. Only reason I am selling it is because I got a Sacrifice pack. Thanks, Connor Pics of Pack Loaded Down

"The Draw" and a new topic....
Condor replied to Ace High Benny's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Last year I got checked right as we were leaving our camp to go help my buddy in a different unit. It was th first time I have been checked. Game warden was really cool, had a great experience and looking back on it I am glad he checked me, because I had a tagged deer in the back of my truck and was heading to a different unit. He asked where I would be in the other unit and sent me on my way. I called Game and Fish to get a little bit of information on the area I was hunting in last year. I described to the guy where I was and just mentioned I got my deer in there last year and he asked if he checked me. Couldn't believe he remembered me, kinda cool. -
Get a vortex nomad scope they are so cheap and light I barely notice when mine is in my pack. Great for a little extra power. A more expensive but great option is a nikon 13-33 power spotter. Try the 15s and see if you need more power first. I have the viper 15s and a Razor hd spotter and love that setup. You will always spend more time behind your binos then spotter so if I could do it again I would get nicer 15's first

Haha thats too funny

chase him into 18b next time you see him lol

I would say get a regular 300 win mag or a 257 wby. I have both and will typically shoot my 300 over my 257 for a few reasons. The 300 has less wind drift, hits really hard out very far, and with the muzzlebreak it hardly kicks at all (though it is loud). This is kind of a hard question because they are on opposite sides of the spectrum. If there were 2 calibers to own both of I think these 2 would be them. Maybe look at 270 wby mag, best of both worlds and is next on my list to buy as well.

Ok I'll bite, there is a lot of truth to what you said, but I think the term carp deer is just something whitetail hunters say to kind of poke fun at mule deer and try to distinguish themselves from a general deer hunter that will shoot either. It more refers to their preference for hunting the animal they love. As far as difficulty to hunt, well that depends. Typically because of the terrain whitetail live in, their size, and way of moving through the country they can be much harder to hunt. When it comes down to it, hunting a trophy class animal of either species is just a challenging as the other. Personally, I have a harder time putting a stalk on a whitetail than I do a mule deer. My 2.
