I bet you're excited.......if you lived closer to me, I'd measure him for you. Let us know what he comes out at.
-
Drying period is long over.........what did he officially measure at?
-
You can't order it "on-line". You can, however, download their order form, fill it out, and send it in. They are pretty quick at the return..........or just stop at any Walmart and buy it there.

Checked one that was reportedly taken in the Kofas.......giant!

What do you wear on your feet for a stalk?

What an absolute TOAD of a Coues buck.........big time congratulations!
-
Found some going crazy in unit 1........a bruiser at that. But they were pretty much done singing by 0830.
-
Way to go, kid! Congratulations on a fine mule deer.
-
What an awesome looking main-frame 3x4......don't know about 191", but it's one heck of a buck!
-
Any buck arrowed in the back-country is a trophy, IMO. Congratulations!

He had EVERY intention of doing what he did......and simply finally got caught. He is truly a legend in his own mind, and not what today's bowhunter should represent, IMO. -
Any of the Bundy clan (Larry, Kory, Clay, Breck) will serve you well......at a lower price. McClendon crew would also serve you well.
-
Wish I was closer.......I'd love to measure him. Good looking buck!
-
Have you had him measured by P&Y?
-
Net around 120".......young buck.
-
Are all you boys and girls going to the P&Y Convention this Spring? It's in your backyard and a perfect time to attend if you've never been. I hope to see you all there.

I was told John stripped the velvet and plans on sending it to panel in February.......I can't wait to measure it there. We'll see where it ends up. Heck of a mule deer and a gentlemen of a bowhunter.

I'm most definitely not a Coues expert.......and even though I've officially measured many, I still have trouble field judging them at times. They all look small to me compared to mule deer. I had this one come in to a hidden, natural water source I know of away from roads and people. Had him come in before I could legally hunt him (end of December) and took this photo. So, how big is he? His beams look exceptional, but I'm not quite sure about the rest. Thought I'd leave it to the experts here and see what you think.

Just up camping/scouting.......I still love that place even though it's not what it used to be. I arrowed a desert buck in January, so only another point this year. However, I may return to the Bab' next year. Colorado this year....again. Oh I'll never give up on her.......it's too magical a place and it has been too kind to me over the years. Congrats on this child, my friend......my last one (daughter) is heading off to college (Wyoming) in two weeks......so just my wife and I again. Perhaps when I retire in three years we'll both be up on the plateau once again.

I scouted it over the July 4th weekend......feed looked okay, probably much greener now with a months rainfall. Saw a few good bucks and quite a few medium sized bucks (135-150" type).....two mega bucks.
-
Canille: Glad it helped....good luck up there. Let us all know how it goes.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Just to clarify some things, I would have sent an arrow his way in a heartbeat if I would have had a valid tag, but I arrowed a mule deer a few days before and was waiting for January 1st to hunt again. Thought I'd sit at this water hole to see what was coming in and do a bit of scouting......and BAAM here's what came in. For this ol' bowhunter, this buck would have been a bow and arrow trophy of a lifetime. After the photo was taken, my hunting buddies asked me what I thought he'd score. I estimated him to net near the 102-105" range, based on the time I had to study him in my binos and quickly calculate some measurements. But, I wanted to share it with you folks and get your take as well.......to make sure I wasn't over/under estimating him. I let my hunting partner (who's never arrowed a Coues) sit this hole for several days and he never appeared again, as he was on the prowl looking for does. Hopefully, I will have another encounter with him next year and I'll have an un-punched tag in my pocket.

I've taken several elk and countless deer, hogs, and predators with Wac'em Triton heads........NEVER an issue.
