Apparently G&F was consulted prior to harvest and the hunter was told he could legally take the animal.

I have no problem with it, as they are not a native species in AZ.

Actually, one was killed by a hunter on the North Kaibab. Officials believe it migrated down from Utah.

They’re bugling in my field every night this week (3B). Saw a mature bull breed a cow a few days ago……that will be a late calf!

Took this yesterday evening after a rare late October thunderstorm. Reservation Lake.

I saw a pretty good bull breed a cow this evening, so there’s some rutting still going on.

Congratulations on a nice bull……and to think some say there are no big bulls this year. 😉

There will be a few more than that killed this year. Surprisingly, I’ve seen a few decent bulls this year. Yeah, I’m a transplant…..but I’ve been hunting this place for almost 40 years. 😁

Yup…..just dinks this year.

They’re beginning to really crank it up by my place at night and first hour or so in the am. I guess just in time for the muzzy hunt that starts Friday.

Must report within 24 hours, closes in 48. There’s no reason to wait 48 hours to report in today’s electronic world, IMO.

They could reduce that number by simply closing the unit 48 hours after the threshold is met instead of the next Wednesday.

It was brought up and did not make the requirement of a bow and arrow. If someone qualified for CHAMP they would use permissible to use a crossbow.

There were 5 civilian members. The rest were G&F personnel.
