With the revolver you could get a thick wide belt and a good leather holster to help with the weight. I carry a Redhawk 7.5" all day fine. When I'm packing a lot I carry a Glock 30 .45 ACP -
I'd use the .25-06 with no problem. Well I'd even use it on elk.

That model 70 is a great price. I had one in .270 Win. It was a tack driver. If I didn't have my Mountain Rifle I would love to have it. It's hard not to buy it.

I have a few. My new one is a Remington 700 Mountain Rifle .30-06 from 1986. It's never been hunted until this fall for bull elk.
