You shouldn't need barrel length , just put in your velocity.

Rifle shot GREAT. .5 moa 5 shot 100yds. Had to try 90gr thu 93gr h-1000 to make sure powder wasn't a "Hot " batch. All OK Shot best with 93gr H-1000 3.815 ovl. 2825fps to 2834fps . 9 fps ES

What range finder are you using? Got a LRH rifle comming next week and would like acurate 1600yd. finder. I've heard the lica 1600 is good but also heard good things about Zies rangefinders. Got a bushnell 450 but that ain't going to cut it!! Also , what balistic program are you useing? I a little new to LR equipment.

Ended up getting a Zeiss victory PRF. Good out to 1300 yrds.Got a $100 rebate from Zeiss and had a $100 off cupon from cabelas. Trying to get setup for LRH is a chore as well as a bit expensive !! (LOL) Now all I need is a a balistic program for my PDA (Dell axim) which I got off e-bay. Can't wait to get out and practice. I've taken game out to 425 yrds but never felt comfortable past that. Hopefully , that will change!!!

I am in the process of buying a rifle from a private owner from Michigan and he wants to ship it to someone with a FFL. I've called several gun shops and they said they only will recieve rifles from other FFL dealers. Does anyone know some one I can get this rifle shipped to for a fee? thanks, Dan

I glassed a mature bear about three weeks ago in the area I was hunting. Unfortunately I was not able to harvest the bear he dissapeared before i was able to get a comfotable shot off. I have hunted the area a total of four days after the fact and have yet to see another bear. The country is rough, thick with alot of scrub and an oak here and there. There is plenty of water around, and a prickly pear crop in the area. I dont know if I should move to another place or stick to the same general area im in. Any thoughts? Jake

I was misinformed on one of the sow's obviously. I personaly saw one sow. Another hunter(mistakenly) said he knew of a different sow killed . Sorry for the bad info. I had no intention of misleading anyone. I was suprised when I called G&F Wensday and they said 23 wasn't closed!!! We did hunt the the week-end and located a nice bear.My son was within 220 yds. but didn't have a good shot. Will try this week end again . On a different note , I had one of my trail cam's(Stealth sniper with a 12 volt battery pack) stolen on Sat off the young road (288). I just can't stand a dang thief. !!! Sorry again for bad info

There were 2 sows I know of taken in 23 S. off the 288. I saw one --a 200 lb taken by a hunter out of Globe Sat. AM. The other one was Fri. AM. Don't know the details but talked to a man who said he saw it.We glassed up whitetail, a few mullies,turkey and some pigs. No bear this hunt but did find some good sign.Also ran across 6 different rattlers going in and out over three days. Most were black.rattlers. Felt good to have chaps on!!!
