After 4 days of hard hunting I called this bull in Monday evening.Saw a few smaller bulls but this was the first 6x6 I saw. The bulls were going silent before sunrise making it intresting hunting.Had to get agresive on the calls and hung out waffers on each stand. The rut is in full swing.

Congrats to everyone involved on a great bull!!! It gets me pumped up to see bulls like that on PUBLIC land !!!! Got a early rifle tag in 4-b and maybe I will be able to post a pic of a big bull

+1 0n 110 Accubond. I use 49gr. of IMR 4350 with excellent results. The 25/06 is a great caliber for deer.

Was out looking around in the jeep Saturday when we came across 5 deer. They were right on the jeep trail in front us and they were whitetails. Have seen a lot of mulies in this area but not whitetails. I hit the gps elvation and it was 2300' I thought coues would be up higher in the summer. They were all mature deer no young-uns.

To get the most out of a 150 gr /06 I would sight in 3 in. high at 100. At 2900 fps you can hold dead on out to about 315 yds and keep it in the vitals.

Here's a buck my son got last week in ohio. We ended up with four deer between us-- two bucks two does. Good hunt but COLD. With the two coues we got earlier we'll have lots of meat!!

Wish it was that easy ! We had to drag it out close to half a mile, but the snow made it a little easier

Count me and my son in!! Little kitty would be great . Fur won't be good till late Oct.

Well I said if I got a tag I would buy me a new rifle for coues!! Got a tag(24 b ) .so I went and bought a Tikka T-3 SS lite 25/06 and a Nikon Monarch BDC 2.5-10x42. Been using a 243 and explained to the wife I needed a little more omph at longer ranges. (Good excuse) Now all I gotta do is work up some loads. I going to try 100 gr sierra and 110 gr nosler acu-bond. What powder are some of you using? Got some IMR 4350. Heard R-22 works well with the 25/06.This is my first 25/06.

Well, I got out to the range to try several loads and had some good results with your advice on powders !!Best of the best was 50.5 gr of IMR 4350 with 110 gr accu-bond bullets. Two 5 shot groups under 1 MOA with one group .7 Now all I gota do is find a nice buck to shoot Did not try H4831 sc but may sometime later .

We went 2 out of 4 tags. Should of filled another tag but a case of buck fever took place , It was his first hunt so he's hooked .

We got 2 out of 4 tags in 23. One fork horn and one 3x3. Saw a number of does and a few spikes. Was a good hunt.
