Wait, no pix of this incredible weapon??!!! From the sounds of it, it's probably worth a small fortune, but a weapon like that is priceless...;-)

On a side note g&f aged her deer at three and I don't think her bull was over five. Years back I harvested a buck on the Kaibab with my bow which was aged at roughly the same age as my wifes buck and it was the best deer meat I've ever had. So this leaves me scratching my head...

Thanks for the replies. Both critters processed by Coconino Game Processing. I feel Dennis does a pretty good job. I made bacon cheeseburgers the other day and the meat over powered the bacon, I liked it but wifey just ended up eating the bacon lol. It sucks even though I'll eat it, it's still a little rich for me. It won't go to waste but it's going to take a while to finish it off.

Yup, this what my uncle and I did. We went in late September though. Waded up the river and killed two great bears, both right at 19" skulls. The fishing was absolutely incredible as well. Deer on the other hand was a lot tougher, spent all day hiking up to the Alpine on mountains we thought we could manage but didn't have much luck. Although when you hike to the top of a mountain even a small mountain in Alaska it sure does feel like you're on top of the world. You do not need a guide for these hunts. Incredible experience we had, hope someday to do it again.

Go to YouTube and look up Cam Hanes, he has hundreds of great videos. His draw length is like 26" and there's a video of him flinging arrows at extremely long range. He also goes over his entire shooting setup. Short draw does not affect him, it shouldn't affect you.

Whisker biscuit is the best arrow rest for hunting hands down.
