If you can camp with others, it helps. I have seen lots of illegals down there and even had a few come into camp at night. You might want to keep border patrols number in your phone and I always keep a sidearm on me. I know of a few people who stay at the rv resort in arivaca.

I second keeping a side arm on you at all time. Pretty sure I ran into almost as many illegals (even drug packing ones) as deer last year. Keep your head on a swivel.

Yeah I would put him in the 150's as well. He has pretty shallow forks. Looks like he has a good frame though.

As for a fixed blade.. The muzzy 3 blade is hard to beat.

I have shot rage's with success. I was very impressed when I shot a javelina with one. At the release of my arrow, the pig turned towards me. The arrow hit just below eye, penetrated the skull, down the throat and stopped in its vitals. I couldnt believe it. The broadhead was still intact.
