Willcox Meat Processing does keep a refrigerated trailer open, at least during hunting season, south of Ajo and west of Palo Verde, for drop off and pick up. I used them a few years ago. Since Dickman’s closed the Tucson community has been underserved so it is good news if there is another processor. I still like WGP and use them whenever I can, but I don’t know if they can handle the volume of the entire Tucson community.

*SPF* 2014 Bowtech Insanity CPXL Left hand bow, bare bow $200 Bought it as Bull Basin in Tucson sever years ago. Bow is 35" ATA and has 70# limbs. Currently set at 27.5" but cams are adjustable from 26.5-31" Camo Riser, black limbs. Limbs show some marks from being placed in a press but they are superficial/no cracks. String is from 2019 and I have the previous set as well. Bow is in Tucson. I finally got a $90 charge for two deer tags this AM. My 3/4/5 choices all traditionally have leftovers and/or are easily attained in those draw choice selections, but I was starting to sweat it after Tuesday morning with nothing pending.

I have no knowledge of Vancouver but I would look at doing whatever you’d like to do in Seattle and not plan on fishing from there directly. There are charters for Coho (aka Silver) salmon and usually the limit is 2. You might check a Chinook (king) but Coho is probably pretty reliable by mid July. Earlier probably not as much. Grays Harbor is the area I am familiar with. They run albacore tuna charters out of that port too. It would be a full day trip from Seattle and require an overnight stay. I would probably fish for tuna one day and Coho the next. If you have a car rental you can pay for it to be ferried across the Puget Sound and drive down Highway 101 through the Olympic Peninsula to get to Grays Harbor. That is an incredible drive and an experience in and of itself. Plenty of water on the way too. You can also fish in some of the coastal trib rivers east and north of Seattle, But if you want to catch and kill fish go to the ocean. It’s been almost a decade but the last time I fished out of Grays Harbor the limit was three and the five people we had on our charter boat limited no problem.

I have a lates 90s 2 stroke 25hp Mercury Sea Pro tiller steer outboard and managed to ding the shallow water drive when backing up the boat in the dark. it was a $45 part but it also looks like one of the collars that supports it on the tilt bracket was broken. It is probs less than 3/4” I thought about slapping on some JB weld marine, but thats probably a bad idea. First pic is the what it should look like, last 3 show the break. I know squat about welding. Could this be welded to repair it and could anyone suggest someone to do so in Tucson/Vail/Sonoita? Thanks for reading.

Its probably hard to tell from the pics but the broken area does not connect to the transom mounts and really doesn’t create major safety concerns.

TTT good deal for a lefty archer. This bow is very fast and produces a ton of energy.

I have no direct experience but I have a friend in Washington who is an avid flyfisherman said they are not worth the trouble. He is an active catch and release guy and said every fish he hooked he had to stress out to get back in with the system and it left him thinking it was more of a fish killer than anything else.

Any of the landings first thing 5:30-7am, Seaforth or Fishermans. I was on the Polaris Supreme out of Seaforth. If you don’t have cow gear don’t be afraid to rent. I had a Mak 15 on full drag with 80# flouro leader Phenix Access 720HX full bendo and throbbing on the rail for close to and hour when the leader snapped, not at the knot. We had deep color at one point and the deck hand said the fish was 180-200#. I was undergunned. My hands hurt.

The fleet is on Bluefin tuna right now, yellow fin probs won't appear for a few months. The bluefin fishing is good right now, and legit trophies are within 1.5 day fishing range. I just got back from a 3 day. None of the fish in the first pic are under 45# and several are well over 100#

Congrats on sale. After the holiday I will be posting a Nissan 9.8 long shaft 4 stroke at the same price point, if anyone missed out on this one and needs an outboard motor.

Cleaning out a few items that I'm not going to use: 1. 7" Stokerized stabilier, 4.5 ounces, with weight 10 ounces. $25 2. Bowmaster portable press with split limb adapters. This is about 10 years old, worked good on Hoyts and PSEs back then. $30 or both for $50 All items in Tucson.

I looked at several firms in Tucson in 2006...and was not happy with the options. Things may have improved since then. Had it done in Dec 2006 in PHX Barnett Delaney Perkins...it was over $3k at that time and not the cheapest option but I figured your eyeballs are not something to go econo on. 15 years later I am only wearing glasses to read at night, still see great.

It has been a decade or more but I did it off the canal system in the Sunnyslope area...at the time I called AZGFD and was told it was no worries.
