Not in the Valley but in Tucson I have had a few pairs of boots resoled at El Con Shoe Repair off Broadway west of Swan and been pleased, $85-95 with quality Vibram soles usually a 2 week turnaround.

I just built a secondary bench for the workshop at our family's property. I used a 60x30" butcher block for working area ($99 at Floor & Decor) and used 2x4's we had laying around along with salvaged screws and old wood stain that needed to be used up. A member on here also sold me a fantastic Lyman press, coupled with a Rockchucker I had laying around (primary use is for pistols, once cases are prepped and primed I can charge and then seat/crimp between the two presses). Storage is below and case trimmer, etc. is mounted on a smaller block of wood and can be clamped on as needed. I'm a lousy carpenter and it's not built for looks but its stout and I like it.

"Wobblers" were the go to when I was fishing it in the mid 2000s, a piece of aluminum or light gauge steel doesn't tend to get ripped off in a strong Columbia current

Do people still "plunk" on the Kalama Bar? It was a hotspot for June Hogs 20 years ago!

Missed the dove opener to fish a few days out of San Jose del Cabo in Baja. The marlin fishing was insane, landed & released 3 Striped from 80-100# and lost another after about a 15 minute fight, plus a beautiful 80# pez vela released and a few dorado kept one day, the next day I just wanted to fill the freezer and took 5 dorado, we missed two wahoo on the troll and killed a few skipjack for cut bait.

Sea of Cortez mostly, out of the San Jose Del Cabo marina, I've caught several marlin over the years right out front of the resorts in those waters, but in general they fish south to Palmilla north to Vinorama. Never been to Los Barriles but would like to fish it some day.

We always fish with Gordo Banks Pangas. When possible we request Capt. Lupe for a bigger boat (my wife joins me if the boat has a head) and if I am solo I like to fish with a captain named Jesus on a 26' panga.

I did not construe "listening technology" to mean communication, which is what cell phones and 2 way radios provide and facilitate. I think and hope they mean advanced hearing aids, etc. That being said, as someone who may not have the closed the deal on a big game animal, or two or three, without someone 1,000 yards back on the glasses and radio saying, "No, moron, he is behind the same tree he was when you left, not the tree you are looking at now..." I am not sure my current use is always consistent with the true sense of fair chase. Or, at least, they have made me lazy in some situations by relying too heavily on someone else over the radio to "walk me in." However, I will use them until its explicit that they are banned. AK doesn't allow them.

Hearing protection for the shot?
Siwash replied to firstcoueswas80's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I have these in all my packs and use them religiously in any shooting situation. Most of my hunting partners are peasants with muzzle brakes and I'm not deaf yet: https://www.surefire.com/ep4-sonic-defenders-plus/ -
THX to all who replied. Looking for an older (but not too old = friction dial) Leupold VX-II or VXIII in 3-9x40 or 3-9x50. I am in Tucson but will be in the Valley in a few weeks. Thanks for looking.
