Did you do that via the set screw behind the magazine well? Or did you pull the action from the stock?

Best Offroad/ Hyway tires for Coues Country

For what you are describing (70% pavement/30% off-road) take a look at the Michelin AT2. The the tread pattern isn't aggressive (if you need a serious mudder tire this isn't it) but I have taken my Tacoma to heck and back from Sonora to Seattle and haven't seen a flat in 30k miles...right now the tread pattern is at about 50%. I had the older Michelin AT's on my F-150 and same deal: all over AZ backcountry, never had a flat in 50K miles and when I sold the truck the buyer asked me if the tires were NEW.

Cheap Bow for Your Wife/GF/ Daughter

Pm'd you Brent...let's touch base after my hunt
  4. SOLD. Up For Sale: A 1994 Darton Scout Compound bow, right hand, 24-27" DL, 35-35# limbs, pink nail polish camo looks good! The bow has steel cables and the string is in decent shape. Comes with custom brown/pink sling, Golden Key Stabilizer, 3 pin site, and a TM hunter style 2 prong rest. Got it for an old gf and she never shot it. It had a whisker bisquit but I traded to a friend to help him out for the two prong rest, so the rest needs to be set-up. Other than that it is good to go. It isn't tied in but I have a peep I can throw in too. $90 in Tucson.

    35B

You will be fine, there are always several camps in that area. It seems like the majority of the smuggler traffic is on the west side of the mountains. Border Patrol has really stepped up their presence in that area in the last year too.
  7. Sounds like a sweet shoot. Did you guys contact Desert Archers? They have a 3D at the Tucson Mt. Park that weekend too.

    Factory loads .270 WSM

If you want a coues/lion/bear/elk bullet try the Nosler Accubond 140grain. I'm pretty sure Winchester sells it if you don't reload.

    What maps do you Use?

+1 for a 7.5 min topo map from the USGS, a 1:24,000 UTM Grid scale and a good compass. I do like using my GPS for finding the truck after dark though.

    Zeiss Customer Service

I sent the same pair you own in for repair (the hinge was loose and so was the focus wheel). I had them back less than two weeks after they received them at no charge beyond my shipping cost to them.

Velbon Tripod + Galco Gun Leather

No, it does not have that feature...which is a sweet one. Tripod is SPF.
  23. I have a few items up for sale in Tucson. Will post pics this weekend. 1. Nikon Monarch Rifle Scope, 3-12x42 SOLD 2. Kowa 8x32 binos SOLD 3. Kelty Camo hunting pack...this thing is big (at least 3,400 C.I.) and has been used on successful hunts in AK and AZ: it's got good Kodiak Brown Bear karma and you can slip a whole javelina into the main compartment Packs has bino pouches on the sides, blaze orange rain fly, removable top for days hikes, and is hydration bladder compatible. A lot of pack for the money. $75 4. Galco LEFTY Holster Model SIL127 for N Frame revolvers...this is a high rise conceal carry holster. It's pretty much mint...I bought it for a S&W 629 but never carried with it. SOLD 5. Velbon Tripod...not a featherweight, it's probably around 4#, "Vel-Flo 8 PH 258" head, tripod extends to 65", compacts to 22". Don't know the model # on the tripod. The head is fluid and smooth and the base is sturdy, no problem mounting a spotting scope or your 15x's on this guy. SOLD
