  1. My boy Kurt got this buck in unit 33 opening day about 5 hours into the hunt. We drove to where we wanted to start walking and got out of the jeep to load up and smiled gas. I looked under the gas tank and it was leaking from the top of the tank but we got it to stop. We finally got going about 4:30 am. We walked as far as we could until it started to get light and then started glassing. All we were seeing were does and spikes so we went to the next hill and it was about the same for about 30 minutes and than we glassed up 4 buck and we were discussing if he wanted to shoot or not. He would only have two days to hunt and it was early and about that time two other hunters started shooting at the biggest one so we just watch, they shot 5 or 6 times at this buck and never hit it . We watched the buck go around the side of the hill and take cover in a bunch of trees. I went around the hill and got the attention of the two hunters and got them to come over to where we were. We showed them where the buck went and the two hunters said they were going to go over to anther hill to see if they could get a better point of view to see it, Kurt and I stayed there waiting for something to happen for a good two or three hours but nothing. We were getting restless so we went over to see if the other two hunters were there and no one was around so we glassed the buck up again and I told Kurt if he would shoot it I would try to get it on film and he said ok. I ranged it and it was 209 yard, piece of cake for him and the 7mag. He got set up and about the same time the buck stepped out of the trees to feed and Kurt made a perfect shot through the heart which I knew he would he’s been shooting that 7mag from the age of 10 and he’s 20 now. I wish I could have held the camera steady, sorry. I don’t know it’s from the big butt hill we climbed and me trying to suck in air or buck fever but I was trying to do everything to keep it steady. It was a fun hunt. Kurt"s the cuz of the whisper "aka my 08 non-typical", "somebody pinch me" aka Kyle. This is a clip little I made 1___2_clips_0001.wmv
