AGFD news Game and Fish Department remains vigilant against invasive species during federal shutdown
SunDevil replied to AGFD News's topic in News from Arizona Game and Fish Dept.
I copied that into an online translator program and got the following: IN 2014, EVERYONE GETS ELK TAGS -
I love AZ. Born and raised and a true desert rat through and through. As is my wife. You should think about what it is you love the most (aside from your family of course) and move where you can be close to pursue what you enjoy most in life. What ever it is, where ever it is you best get there now before your roots get to deep. If I could go back 20 years I would move somewhere closer to the ocean. Fortunately with your degree you should be able to find a good job almost anywhere. You can also raise your family anywhere. Finding good schools is sometimes tricky. Fortunately MN has a pretty good education system. GOOD LUCK and don't forget to take your long johns.

my mom is from MN. brutally cold winters and way to many liberals.

went to oahu last summer. kayaking on the east side was very fun. trip to the north shore was also very cool. snorkeling at shark cove and turtle beach. jumped off the waimea bay rock. pearl harbor and missouri are awesome. polynesian culture center is cool. tried to avoid honolulu as much as possible. family went to the swap meet at aloha stadium. good times. maui and kauai are also nice. can't go wrong as long as you stay out of honolulu.

keep at it! now that the grass is yellow, it is harder to find them when glassing. they are still there, just tougher to find. -
congrats! were you on the stallion range?

I guess ASU could have scheduled 3 patsies for their non-conference schedule. nothing like gearing up for a tough Pac12 schedule by playing nau, unlv and utsa.

I do not know the legalities of it but finders fees are now part of the hunting business. I do not know how much they are paying out but I am sure it depends greatly on size and species. if you found something big you would probably just need to start getting in touch with all of the guides you could and go from there. probably start the conversation with a picture and let the negotiations go from there.

Trying to avoid the crowds in 31
SunDevil replied to latigo11's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
like most units, if you hike in an hour or so you will get away from 90% of the other hunters. -
the fruit from these cactus are very tasty. I found one on my property this weekend and after sampling it myself, was able to convince my 8 yr old to try it. even she thought it tasted good.

my dad was a high school economics teacher. one of the things he tried to impress upon his students was the following: "no one can afford everything they want. everyone can afford anything they want."

+1 on marinating. where are the pics of the fish?

personally I shoot a 7mm rem mag. IMO it is a little big for WT but it is what I have and it shoots good. It is my experience and observation that going with lighter bullets in big calibers reduces accuracy. a 130 grain 270 is probably going to be more accurate than a 140 grain 7mm mag. bump the 7mm mag up to 150 or 165 grains and accuracy improves. same with 300's. 180 - 200 grains in 300's shoot great. drop down to 150 grains and all bets are off. if you are going to also possibly use it for elk than a 25-06 is little small. lots of guys use 270s for elk but then lots of guys use 300's for WT. a 7mm mag is right between them. a 257 weatherby mag would also be a nice gun to have. ammo is limited and even more expensive than other calibers. if you are going to get into reloading than might as well go with the 6.5 x 284. good luck and let us know what you end up with.
