well according to R Finley at the Red Star, the kitties "settled" for the New Mexico Bowl. More like the New Mexico Bowl settled on the kitties. that is right, the 7th and final pac12 bowl slot goes to Nogales North. at least all you "die hard" fans will not have to travel very far to see your team. post up some pics from the game. we will be looking for them.

If you win the powerball, what is your ultimate hunt destination
SunDevil replied to deercrazy's topic in The Campfire
Tops on my list would be: AK for Dall sheep and moose. Africa for greater kudu. Finally down to the ua AD office to see about getting Makovic rehired. -
with those eyeguards and the kickers I would say 120+

Don't forget your sunscreen and stick close to water.

Congrats Jim on a truely unique trophy. I am only aware of one other albino javi and it was taken in MX by another sponsor on this site. Thanks for sharing and good luck on the rest of your hunts down south.

Congrats to you and your son. That is an outstanding buck. Long eye guards and long G3s are the mark of a great buck and that buck has both. Thanks for sharing and thanks for cropping his hat off in the picture this year.

Mule - FYI - Lance was the one that brought up Pasadena in the first place. Go talk to him about it. Last I checked two was still two more than ZERO.
-
Ah Pasadena. The forbidden land to The Nogales North Kitties and all of their woeful fans. Here are a couple of observations: 1) those red uniforms the kitties were sporting were terrible. 2) already heard one "wait 'til next year" 3) already heard one "wait 'til RichRod gets his recruits in place" (FYI - RichRod was lucky to have Scott and Carey fall into his lap. Without them the kitties would have been lucky to win 2 games this year) 4) heard lots of blame towards Scott. Still waiting for: 1) "wait 'til basketball season because basketball is the kitties sport" 2) the kitties choked being up 10 in the 4th, giving up 24 in the 4th and losing the game 3) the SUNDEVIL defense stepped up and forced a bunch of turnovers and dominated the 4th quarter
-
. Crossing my fingers Carey returns but don't see it happening. Me either, that's kids a sleeper stud! Why is there NO conversations about that kid? He's probably not coming back next year.... What are you talking about. All that one announcer did ALL NIGHT long was talk about "the leading rusher in the nation". I about had to put the tv on mute. he will be back next year because he can not enter the draft until after his junior season.
-
welcome to the desert RichRod. time to pack your bags as it is only getting worse. next year you'll be riding the bus home with your tail tucked between your legs.

Go Arizona Wildcats!!!!!!!!!!!

Half way home! -
The CUP is half way home. If I have to hear about "the nation's leading rusher" anymore I am going to throw my tv out the window!

after shooting the wrong buck back in 2006 I posted this pic on the forum. pretty sure I got chastized back then on here for using the term "dink". glad to see a little more maturity now a days by the CWT.com populous.

I know a guy who drew 33 goulds with 4 points! That is why they are called BOGUS points!!!

Mearns Quail- Dec 7, 2012
SunDevil replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I think they changed it so the mearns season would not overlap with any deer hunts. they still did not get it right though because they extended the late nov/early dec deer hunt to a 10 day hunt and there is still an overlap anyway. -

Things your huntin buddies do that drive you nuts : )

here is what my bored elk hunting buddies do. make obscene snowmen. -

here is a 30A (Dos Cabezas) buck from 2001.
-
sounds like you are doing things right. you should be good to go with a 30-06 and a bonded bullet. it is a bummer you have not had any success recovering your animals. finding an elk on an OTC hunt is pretty successful in and of itself. last year a buddy of mine shot an elk with a 150 grn bonded 270 at 60 yards. elk was broadside and shot was double lung. there was no exit hole and thus very little blood. fortunately it only ran about 20 yards and fell over otherwise it would have been a challenge to recover. even after gutting we were unable to locate an exit hole but also were unable to recover the bullet.
-
we quit hunting 30A several years ago due to access issues and lower deer numbers. however, we still know some people that hunt that unit and are successful. probably best for you to find another unit in order to prevent future frustrations.
