wow - that is awesome. did you get any of the meat? typically anglers are required to sign a waiver that fish of that caliber are owned by the boat. if the angler does not sign the waiver than they are required to pay for the fish in addition to whatever they paid for the charter service.

just curious but what do you care? does when you apply have anything to do with your draw odds? I procrastinated and mailed mine last week (Friday) and am guessing I will have the same draw odds as I did last year when I procrastinated and dropped my apps off in person on Monday. I will be just as impatient this year as I was last year. what is really fun is when applications can be done online and all the procrastinators crash the system and they have to extend the deadline (this happened in UT this year). a better question is "how much more money did you spend in gas taking your app and dropping it off in person than by sending it in the mail for a cost of a stamp?" not trying to be a jerk, just curious. \"/

another interesting thing is that Joyce was voted the 2nd best umpire in I think 2003 and 2008 in a Sports Illustrated PLAYERS poll. perfect time for all of us to remember that NO ONE is perfect. we are all human. we all make mistakes. the bigger thing is how do we handle it? how do we handle it when we make mistakes? are we humble about it or do we try and lie about it? also, how do we handle it when someone makes a mistake against us? are we understanding or are we jerk offs? IMO, both people handled this situation the best that could be. got to consider the moon also. could have a good moon in oct or a bad moon. same goes for each of the nov hunts. with the dec hunt being two weeks you are guaranteed at least one good moon phase.

neat story. this is all kind of interesting to me and something that I struggle with. is the concensus that because the other guy had his blind up first means he gets dibs on the spot for as long as he wants it? it has always been my thinking that public land means first come, first served on a daily basis. I can see if you went in there opening morning and they were already there and set up but to say we are going to be here Fri - Sun and the justification being that they set up a blind? am I off on this?

thanks everyone. went out to dinner with the family (mom, dad, wife, daughter) this evening. nice juicy new york strip cooked medium rare (although my dad did have the ever popular ribeye). then had desert (home made cheese cake with blue berries AND home made brownies with ice cream, chocolate syrup and whipped cream) at home with some friends (no wonder I am getting fat). my great wife said she and my daughter are going to make my favorite breakfast tomorrow morning (french toast made from Kings Hawaiian Sweet Bread - yum). then tomorrow night we are headed down to the university to watch the #2 ranked SUNDEVILS whip up on the lowly mildcats. fun times. thanks again for the wishes.

Ryan of Phoenix, Arizona, was recovered in Sonora state, across from Arizona, but gave no other details. Jose Larrinaga, spokesman for Sonora state prosecutors, told reporters Sunday that Ryan's body was found the previous day partially buried near a creek on the outskirts of Santa Ana, a city 60 miles south of Nogales, Arizona. A cause of death had not been determined and the body was taken to the border city of Nogales, Mexico, for an autopsy, Larrinaga said. He said Ryan, 67, was reported missing May 3. State police had reported detaining three men the following day who had left Ryan's pickup truck at a car wash in Santa Ana. Officers seized several automatic rifles, dozens of bullets and marijuana from the men, ages 18, 20 and 21, state police said. Local media said two of the men are the son and a nephew of Jose Vasquez Villagrana, an alleged key operator of the Sinaloa cartel who was arrested in February.
