sounds like you should not worry to much about it. good to bring it up and get some help on the situation and make other people aware. -
I would be interested. Always thought we should do the CWT bbqs in feb - mar anyway. after deer season but before turkey season. cooler than summertime. chris.

unfortunately no back to back goulds for me either. would have been neat to have drawn the same tag as red rabbit but hopefully I will be invited along.

either one will be fine. try using a smaller grain bullet that will be a little flatter. there are guys that use 22-250s and there are guys that use 338 Win Mags and then there is everything in between. 300 mags have become very popular that last few years. 300 wsm, 300 ultras, 300 wby. even seen some 30-378s.

What Scope and power do you like?
SunDevil replied to tontotom's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I personally like scopes that have a little more magnification than 9X. something that you need to remember is that even really good scopes, in low light conditions will look darker when they are cranked up. so if you get one that goes up to 16X or 22X, don't think you will be able to have it cranked up that high at dusk. also, I personally prefer bigger objective lens scopes. not to much of a fan of 40mm. I get 50mm when I can and will settle for 44mm. -
I would guess the 3 pt because those 3rds are so long but measure them up and let us know.

nice buck, nice story but most of all, holy cow, look at the hole in the side of that deer!

hair bleach at a beauty supply place will do the trick. mix it up, brush it on, set it in the sun for about an hour, rinse it off and you are good to go. -
great bull. great times. GREAT MEMORIES!!!

so Sat morning we (doug, larry and I)spend about 1:15 minutes hiking into the spot we are going to hunt. hike up on the knob to get set up and start glassing. first light, primetime is upon us. I look around and one guy has his camera set up on his tripod and is awaiting the sunrise to take some pictures and the other guy is checking stuff out on his crackberry. I can't believe. I'm sure you can guess who was taking pics and who was crackin it.

not that it matters but I think I would like to see the measurements for how that buck scores out.

shoulda let him live another year! psych! -
we should have started two poll questions earlier this week. 1 - what time would the first successful rifle pic be posted? before 12:00 noon or after? 2 - what would the size of the first successful rifle pic be? bigger than 85" or smaller?

I guess we do not hear much about southern NM. is it as bad or worse than southern AZ? heck do you ever go outside when it is raining? you could get struck by lightning. how about driving a car? that is pretty dangerous. I am sure there are a lot of things you do on a regular basis that could potentially be dangerous and you do not even think twice about it. get a satellite phone. take a hand gun and keep it under your pillow. good luck. really surprised you can not find someone to go with you.

Most dangers unit to hunt in the southern units
SunDevil replied to joeybari's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
6A might get bit by a rabid red rabbit worse yet, you might get shaken down by a liberal tree hugger for all the granola you might have on you -

however, I think for whitetail, the point requirement is 3 points on one side, of which, one MAY be an eyeguard.
