so are they just 'checking' for fund availability or will they actually charge our cards and then when we are unsuccessful they will send us a refund check?

what bill? I think I missed something here. I was just asking about the fishing at carnero. usually when we go to carnero we do not camp out in the middle of the lake.

last time I was there, they were hitting a green leach pattern with a flash of tinsel. what was working for you? did you kick out to the reeds and fish around them?

dropped my bird in it's tracks at 41 yards last month. 4 shot, 3" mag out of a 32 inch, full choke barrel. a few years ago, dropped a coyote in it's tracks with the same gun and same load at 49 yards.

other than being on the lower end of the magnification, I have only heard positive things about the nikon scope.

this should be mandatory and people should not view it as a big deal. it can be mail in, phone in or internet based. the numbers would be better. I hunt NM and UT and they both do it. it is not a big deal. yes mandatory reporting does not equal greater truthfulness but it would be more accurate. yes that is correct, I said more accurate. this is especially true for the new and improved dec WT hunts we have now that only have 40 tags. just another example of how our dept is stuck in the dark ages - kind of like online applications but that is for a different forum topic.

the trick is to wear your CWT.com shirt when you are turkey hunting. just got back last night. got this merriams at 6:15 saturday morning. blackdog called him in and I nailed him at 41 yards with some 4 shot. very windy weekend. it snowed thursday evening and it was 14 degrees friday morning. this bird had a nine inch beard. up next, goulds turkey on april 24th.

I guess I do not recall what the stats were when they went from online to paper. I do not recall it being significant. I would be interested in knowing how much apps went down to support your argument. I agree that fewer people probably apply on paper due to all the inconveniences associated with paper over online but I personally don't think it is significant enough to impact peoples draw odds.

the 'issues' that you are referring to must be specific to the vendors that AZ is contracting with to handle it because I have never encountered any 'issues' with the other states that I apply in that have online applications. just my two cents, but I am guessing there are not that many tom, dick and harrys that would apply online but not on paper that would make any impact on peoples draw odds.

how about these improvements to the draw system: 1) online applications 2) online results with the technology that we have today and all the other states doing it, it is an embarassment that we have to apply on paper and have to call to get the results. just another example of why we should not want bigger and more government

where is the water? I would be there in sept looking for bucks. if I found a big one I would be back in there trying to pattern him. initially I would be back away from the mtn glassing the whole thing. once I figured out where the deer normally are then I would look for areas to glass from that would avoid disturbing them.
