    1/2 a beef

    1/2 a beef

You get both sides of heart -tongue & liver I Will take it to malapia meat packing a week from Sunday night & drop it off . they slaughter every Monday morning , then hang it for 10 days or so before processing it to your specs .

    1/2 a beef

Finished pounds is a hard thing to calculate . How you get it cut up & what you save / eat out of your half . If u leavee all fat, or have it trimmed with no fat , if you keep heart / liver / tongue. If you have everything deboned etc ... all of these makes a difference .... This is roughly what I came up with for price after looking at what I had in These steers , what the QUALITY of these are . And after looking at quite a few different adds on processed beef for sale . I’m guessing at 950 lbs live weight. The average hanging weight is .62% so that’s 589 lbs half of that 294.4 lbs x $3.50 hanging weight is $1030.75. + about $400 to process . = $1430.75 ... I rounded down to an even $1350 to give the benefit to the buyer if I was off a few pnds .... there is an add for beef out of chino valley for $5.00 a pnd hanging weight but that includes processing , with these same #’s that would be $1470.00 , a couple others I found were $4 hanging plus processing = $1578.00 , then I found a few at $6 & $6.50... So I think my $1350 is a pretty fair deal on the quality you are getting. That’s as straight forward & honest as I can be on what I came up with . Yes you can go find cheaper cows right now with the drought, there are a lot of poor looking stuff for sale . This is qualify home grown , natural black angus beef , that you will not be disappointed in it is fabulous . What your actual take home pounds will be like I said would depend on your cut up preference ..... & if when I get them to the butcher & if I’m off quit a bit on weight I’ll adjust price down accordingly .
  5. Started several months ago my dad wanted to re shingle his roof , after about 30 years I guess it needed it , went to Home Depot ordered shingles was given a date they would be here , they didnt show up when promised , nor the week after the that , or the next ..... FINLY got shingles reroofed the house , was a few bundles short , ordered some more , given a date .... no shingles , given another date no shingles , given another date no shingles .... this has been a going a month now just for the few bundles we needed .... THEY finally returned our calls AFTER promising 3 different times & taking our money , they called us & CANCELLED our order, oh we cant get / order only a few bundles WTH you didnt know that when we ordered them ? When you took our money ? When you promised 3 different times of a date given of when they would be here , after spending $10k on supplies your just call to say sorry cant get it .... how the heck do people stay in business.... sorry to vent but this has been going on for about 3 1/2 months from the first day we ordered tell today when they canceled our order .... after phone call , after phone call , after phone call , & empty promise after empty promise after empty promise ..... Anyone know were I can get a few of these shingles see attached pic

Are the birds talking for the youth hunt

They are not going very good but a week can make a big difference. 2 Saturday’s ago had some birds going decent , called in 5 gobblers together . No hens around - this weekend wind was terrible- saw hens by them selves - saw a few groups of hens with gobblers - & saw 10 gobblers together w no hens ( all long beards ) no gobbling at all .... saw 50 hens in a group w NO gobblers .... these are still “winter” groups ....so to me after spending a couple weekends chasing them - they are barely starting w a few gobblers starting to get with hens - & should get better & better each day as things turn on . Just my 2 cents ....

    Polaris ranger 2006

My ranger hasnt wanted to start in the cold - so finally had a nice warm day - & went out & started it , so figured since I had it going ide run it down to a local guy for a little tune up - This is the phone call I got .... sorry but the rubber boot on this has a crack & has been sucking in dirt & so your piston is shot , you have no compression ( only about 40 pounds , you should be at 90+) . Especially when its cold . When its warm it will get enough to turn over & run , but you need to have the head pulled & piston replaced . But the guy really didnt want to dive into that kind of a project , & Im not sure I do either .... short on cash at the moment .... So any offers on a used ranger that has been great , I think Ive hauled 6-8 elk out with it , but one that needs the head pulled & piston replaced .... ( according to mechanic ) Im completely in the dark on this sort of thing .... if it were made of wood I could fix anything - but mechanics not so much . Or is it even worth fixing ??

    .243 for elk?

Weve shot quite a few with 243. No problems , just set them up & teach them placement , not just filling the scope with hair, but actually places it were they want it , double lung & they dont go far . You find the kids have more patience waiting for a good shot ( if youve taught them ) then most adults

Gould’s for sale - but which is it ?

I havent kept exact track but its been about 50-50 for the ones that have & hsvnt had spurs - this pic is my sons archery Goulds 4 year old bird ( according to tbe records of when it was caught as a Jake & released & when we got it ) & it has just barely little nubs , these are not worn down - they are just not there ( genetically ) . The Goulds from the pic in the first post has thick ( wide at the base ) spurs but only a little over 1/2 long .
