Great work on some very nice bulls! Thanks for sharing! Strong entrance.

Way to get it done guys! That is awesome to have friends and family participate in a hunt like this. Excellent! Thanks for the report and pics.

I hunted 6B for many years. Way too many tags for that unit now. Would be much better if they went back to 100 bull, 100 cow for archery or something similar. That could probably be said for a lot of units now. Glad to see a few units drop a bit this year. I realize this will lower odds and decrease revenue for the Department but the quality of this hunt has suffered tremendously. Especially with the proliferation of roads over the last couple of decades. What used to be little logging trails are now full on roads in many places. That stuff lowers the quality of the experience of the hunt. Besides hard to get more than half a mile from a road up on the top part of the unit. The last time I had an elk tag there I couldn't get away from people no matter what I tried. The Canyon is there but it doesn't seem to hold as many elk as the higher, flatter stuff IME.

Prayers Up! That's a tough little hombre! Hope healing is quick and complete.

That's a great buck, no question about it! Big congrats on getting one on your hitlist!

That Dodge looks like a great trail rig! I'm surprised nobody has bit on these yet. Price seems right on both.

Thanks for sharing your pics and report! That is a great deer. Glad you had a great hunt with Duwane. He's always been a helpful guy the few times I've chatted with him.

I started in like 1988 or so and it took me until 2012 to kill a buck with my bow so my best advice is if you want it bad enough, persevere. Not every season, but every other or so I probably spent at least one weekend in the field. Keep trying! Good things happen to those who are prepared and persistent. I like a treestand better than a blind because it gets your scent up off the ground. Still have to keep the wind in mind though. A pop up blind works well too since it keeps some of your scent contained in the blind. Best of luck to you man, keep us posted how this goes. I used to see a fair amount of deer in 11m off the Woody Mountain road before it hits 6B. If there are any burns or areas with oak, I would start with those first.

Might help to let us know where you are so we can see who is nearby. Would love to help but I'm in Yuma. Hopefully someone close can respond quickly.

That's a good one alright!

That is a darn nice bull! Great job finding one this late with nothing broken.
-
Very Nice! Congrats!

AWESOME RAM! He's got it all...mass, length, nice conformation, not beat up, mature. Very Well Done. Happy as heck for you man. 👍
-
Way to get r done! Both nice bucks but that 5x is extra cool.
-
Right on Richard! That is awesome man! I think most people would be pretty happy with a deer like that.

Crazy! Lucky they got out of there alive!

Yes I do, great pants at a hefty bargain compared to something like Kuiu Attack pants. I also like the Horizon 5 pocket pants. For an even better deal check out your Walmart for the Wrangler Outdoor Performance Stretch Cargo Pants. As good or better than the Eddie Bauer for just over $20.

Great choice! Good luck with your search! I love my Duplex with Cargo Panel and Lid as well as my Late Season. If you haven't tried already, take a look on Kifaru Trading Post forum and Rokslide Forums Classifieds for used Kifaru packs.

Glad you got out. Hope you got to hunt a bit as well.

I wonder if they got the ram in the weather thread that 1uglydude posted.

Right on man! You did it! Your homework and instincts paid off bigtime. Can't wait to hear how it went down and see some more pics.
