Had the distinct pleasure of meeting Dwight Schuh at the Bowsite Gathering at the Pope and Young Convention in Phoenix a number of years back. He was a humble and friendly man that we all can aspire to be like. He was an inspiration to me for decades. I pray for peace for all of his family and friends. Lets hear your stories about Dwight if you have them. We lost a good one boys, but Heaven gained a great one!

Hold on there Lance, according to some on here Yuma takes that title! Don't be stealing our glory. LOL!

As my FIL from Kentucky would say "good r nuff"!

Sorry Roy, I only met him once but he was a genuine, honorable man that touched many lives. Thanks for sharing.

The Cordura they use on the rest of their packs has pretty decent water resistance in my experience. I have no experience with the new frame or material but I have been running their packs for about a decade. Not sure you can get much better, especially their waist belts.

Jake, I live in Yuma. Will be happy to try to brainstorm some ideas with you. Sending a PM.

Really glad you got the pack and binos back!

I studied these critters for my first job out of college. They are stuck, border fence or not IMO. Highway 2 which parallels the border from Sonoyta to San Luis Rio Colorado is enough to keep them apart. Any other barrier will add to that. You can thank John Hervert with the AZGFD and his staff for saving them from the brink of extinction. He had and idea to create an enclosure, remove all the predators, and water it. They went from 21 animals to hundreds again due to those actions. The other so called "experts" thought he was nuts. The Department and FWS have been moving them around quite a bit and now there are other populations than the one south of the 8 between Gila Bend and Yuma. They are now on the KOFA and YPG as well as the east side of the 85 between Gila Bend and Ajo. Even with these huge strides I don't think they will ever come off the list. PS - Antelope live in Africa and game farms in Texas, these are Pronghorn.

Just want to leave this here...couldn't help but think about what ol Fred would have thought about all this drama!

New CWT Hoodies and Tshirts --- today (jan 28) is last day to order!
Heat replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Store
Does anyone have any feedback on the differences between the two hoodies in Military Green? Slightly disappointed that a 100% poly hoodie was not an option but I guess beggars can't be choosers. I did notice that the color most of us picked was not available so I guess thats why. Jerzees vs Gildan anyone before I order? -
Much respect for Brhoton. Seems like a stand up guy to me. Bummed for Ben though. Hes the only one of these characters I actually know. He should have tried to keep this buck on the DL in my opinion.

I just took a toll road in Sonora from San Luis Rio Colorado to El Golfo de Santa Clara last Thursday and they most definitely took our American Dollars! The exchange rate is approximately 18 pesos/$1.

What a waste of time and server space!

I'm still down to go. Made a trip to PP last year and was going to head to Lobos, had a date all lined up and the wind blew our trip up. I need a re-do.

Sorry guys! I would delete those posts if I could.

First triggerfish of the day.

Eduardo will even let you drive the boat!

Been out with this guy the last couple of years. Today was a bit slower than last year but we caught plenty. Comfortable boat for up to 6 anglers. Shouldn't be more than 40 bucks a head. Eduardo is a great Captain!

Shots fired, LOL! That sounds an excellent plan Amanda! Thanks for doing this for us.

My preference would be no zipper, no arm lettering and #3 on the front. I know that cost might be prohibitive but please make it polyester fleece, no cotton! I like that green and black!

Spent 3 days in the desert looking for deer and javelina. My title of Arizona's Undisputed Worst Archery Javelina Hunter is still intact. Did not even see one this year. Pretty much just took my bow for a walk. Did not see any game. Feed was everywhere. Looked like the deer were really spread out and the pigs were hanging in the deep cuts on the flats and not on the hills which makes glassing very hard. Only had one morning to hunt after the fresh rains to cut fresh sign of a herd and did not accomplish that. Saw a good amount of sign that was from a week to a day or so old, but nothing within the last 12-24 hours. Time to reconsider where I have been hunting lately. I think I need to go back to where I've had success finding them and getting shots in the past. Might need to recruit a new partner or two for that. I like hunting pigs with my cousin but he lives about 15 minutes away from where he can hunt them, so its hard to break the pattern and quit hunting where its so convenient. Oh well, at least I didn't wound one and not recover it this time like I have done a few times in the past. The habitat around me is generally not considered javelina country and its at least a 2-3 hour drive to get to some. With a couple of busy weekends ahead my javelina hunting for 2019 is probably over.

Great job man!

Looks like javi poop to me! Top one for sure. Second one has a bit of hair so I am second guessing, but that would be my first reaction. Javelina poop is like a dog poop but green, and turns chalky white as it ages.
