Congrats, I killed a similar bull in 7W. Other side is deformed though. Yours also looks bigger on his good side.

After Thursday I don't have to be back until Oct 2.

That is a tough question but unless you are talking about private land, everybody has a right to be out there like anybody else. Observing from a distance or driving around to learn the unit is one thing. Driving around at night bugling and spotlighting from vehicles is another. So is pursuing, calling at, or stalking in on animals when you have no tag. This is just my opinion and I fully understand that not everybody operates this way.

Looks great from the glass. Illegal to go anywhere near it. Forest Closure due to Boundary Fire. Probably won't stop most people who don't give a crap about the rules anyways. Knowing my luck and the way that Murphy SOB follows me around, the one Forest cop in the West would be waiting for me at the truck to write me a ticket if I even thought about farting upwind of the Closure, nevermind hiking into the area to hunt.

I lost my cousin Dominick Berardi who worked for Cantor Fitzgerald in the World Trade Center attack on September 11th, 2001. We will never forget!

And Troy Gentry. RIP.

He could ruin someone's day in a hurry!

Way to go guys, that is fantastic!

Thanks for sharing Rob, I think hunters could have made out a lot better. Total crap shoot now with what might happen on the Park. I would wait if I had points. I hope I can be a volunteer and get some more of that meat!

Nice work! Great bulls!

Yo, count me in, 7W Archery Bull. I will also be solo after Monday AM. Silver/beige colored 04 Chevy Z71, ELKRAZY license plate. Sending PM. Willing to help anybody who needs a hand with whatever.

Good Job guys!

Congratulations Marvin! Like he mentioned in a different post somewhere, Marvin was able to kill this buck after eluding auction tag, raffle tag, and every other tag holder for years. That is quite a feat! Marvin most definitely deserves all the accolades this buck generates. Hats off to you Marvin! Thanks for all you do for Bowhunting in Arizona!

Right on Tim, thanks for sharing. That buck is awesome!

Actually got a letter in the mail notifying me of the Closure due to the fire. Was up scouting last weekend and plenty of people clearly didn't get the message or didn't care.

We have used Miller's Southwest on two of our animals and have no complaints other than having to go to Quenn Creek to get our meat. No delivery to Yuma but the convenience of them being right there in Forest Lakes makes it worth it for us.

I like using the Avenza in conjunction with the MVUM. Woks off the GPS and can tell you where you are on the map. Good enough for getting around in the truck but wouldn't use it for precise locating. That is what I use my Garmin for.

This one will probably top them all. A couple days into my 2012 Unit 1 Archery bull elk hunt, I set my bow down on the ground leaning up against the front right tire of my truck. Guy comes down the road on a quad and we get to talking. Mentions that he is done and pulled his camera off a little spot up the ridge. Well after he left I jumped in the truck to check it out real quick and backed out onto the road. Realized I forgot my bow, but forgot it was next to the tire. Pulled back in and ran over my bow! Of course saw a nice 6x6 under 30 yards that evening with no bow to shoot. Bought a backup bow (recurve) almost immediately after getting home. Here's your sign! What do I win?

Way to get it done man! Great pronghorn buck!

Meat in the freezer! Of course everybody wants to shoot a big one, but our family loves the meat too much to pass on any ethical shot opportunity. Good luck to all of you with elk tags this fall!

Anybody know the status of the Government Fire burning between Government Prairie and Sitgreaves Mtn? Last thing we need is more area closed by the Forest Circus. FYI the whole Kendrick Mountain area is closed from the Boundary Fire and won't open until the middle of October. Anybody want to come right out and admit whether or not they plan on adhering to the closure? Had some plans for that area and planned on getting in there after it opened but that won't be until after our early archery hunt. Back to the drawing board. If anyone wants to chat 7W via PM please message me!
