I was in 6th Grade at Ronald Reagan School in Yuma. I remember all of us going to the Library that day where they had a TV on with news broadcasts being shown of the tragedy that day. I remember what a big deal it was because there was a civilian teacher on board that flight. I also remember how big of an impact that event had on our Country and how the healing process brought us all together for a short time.

jnobleinaz, Newsflash....the guy who posts under the handle ".270" is named Lark. Anyone with a 3rd grade reading comprehension level probably could have picked that up by reading all the threads, especially the one where the guy put the name "Lark" under the rest of the stuff he wrote, indicating that is his name! If that wasn't enough the fact that he wrote "maroon" in his post too could have been a hint. Oh ya, by the way, another guy who probably thought he was smarter than everybody else on here called us morons before, except he called us "maroons" which is an inside joke now I guess. Wouldn't expect you to figure that one out on your own since you can't even figure out who I called Lark, when there is a guy named Lark, who addressed himself as Lark on this very thread. Now put all that aside and I agree with your points on this topic, however your tact sucks! How about an apology for the people on here who don't deserve to be called names?

That's correct Lark! LOL! We're maroons get it straight!

I put 4 people in for elk and pronghorn last night without a hitch. Bought licenses for 3 out of the 4 as well. Did the licenses first, then the tag apps, all on Firefox browser. Things must be hit or miss.

Right on man! Congratulations on your deer! Awesome!

I think the demand for 27 this year might be higher than in previous years based on the later date. Do you have a preference for the type of habitat you like to hunt? If it was me I would probably do 27 1st and 7W 2nd. Maybe 22 based on the lower tag numbers but I don't know that unit all that well.

Forwarding an email I got this morning. Hopefully this bow will find its way home. "Our local Yuma AZGFD office had a customer come in that found a bow yesterday Jan. 21st in the KOFAs. He would like to get it back to the rightful owner. Anyone missing a bow can call 760-473-0149 to identify it, his name is Jerry Galiley."

Returning tag for reinstatement of bonus points
Heat replied to bonecollector777's topic in The Campfire
OK I'll be honest. I went back into my email and did a search for "Tag Surrender". I guess on July 22 of 2015 I received an email soliciting comments for this subject. I missed it. The email had a link to this document which provides more detail than anything I've seen yet. This document has all the nitty gritty detail. http://www.azgfd.gov/pdfs/fishing/article1NPRM.pdf -
I drew a rifle tag in 2010 and an archery tag in 2012. Sometimes its way better to be lucky than good!

You can pray that you have enough bonus points or luck to draw your first choice!

Maybe I missed the memo or the email but I never got a chance to give any comment on this topic. -

I see the benefits but I totally agree with you guys on limiting it. Something along the lines of one option per species per decade or something similar. This would be ripe for abuse without controls and I would not be supportive of something like that. If they can figure out a way for a one shot deal along some lines, I would be ok with it. The problem with the way it is worded there without any control is the idiots with more money than brains will do exactly what you guys are describing. What is an extra $135 bucks a year for a guy who buys a new $50,000 truck every year? I'm sure we all know lots of guys like that! If the Department can make money selling the same tag twice its a win/win for them! I can see why they would be OK with this, as much of an administrative nightmare this is going to be. Heck they can't even run a normal draw and issue tags outright without major screw-ups! What makes anyone believe they can pull off a refund scam too and still get it all right? -
Congrats on your success! That is way cool with the bonus javi! Looks like you have some great pics and memories to share with your family and friends for a long time. Can't ask for much more than that.

I must suck compared to a lot of guys. I try to get under 50 yards for sure. Would never shoot any more than that at a live animal, but that's just me. Being close to the critters is half the fun.

Great job helping your brother on a tough hunt. Congrats on your success!

Great job on the shed hunting! What a cool deal!

Give it a few weeks or maybe a month and inquire again. -

The Yellowstone Herd carries brucellosis I believe which would probably render those animals unworthy to translocate to establish a herd or augment an existing herd.

Way to go Stan! Very Nice!
