Blake , Around prescott here is so hit and miss and mostly miss. I think Kiabab lakes your best shot to come home with something. Kids get bored real quick when thier not catching anything!

I was very interested in why people guessed what the score was on that huge 154.1 New Mexico Coues Buck Here's what I found: At 1st glance figured average score of all guessers high 130"s. FACT TOTAL COMBINED SCORES WAS 25923.3 Divide 25923.3 by 188 people who guessed = AVERAGE SCORE 138 appox. Also so the score averaged up as more people guessed! Why? Here is my opinion, 1st : The 140" threshold seemed just to much not many bucks over 140" or at 150"threshold. Gotta get beyond the Scarecrow 2nd : We tend to follow those who we think are in the know! 3rd : To much knowledge can and will hurt us 4th : Just plain out afraid to be made a fool of. I only say this because normaly I dont guess for these reasons on a score contest! What do you guys think? SirRoyal

Awesome statement and coming from a hunters Hunter We are spoiled here in Arizona we kill the biggest bulls in the world! A 300 archery bull used to be like WOW,. now days its like whats a matter with you. Most of us are to worried about what others think and not what we want in our heart. We should pursue our own levels of accomplishment that makes us feel good about the whole hunt from the scouting to the kill! If a guy wants to continue to pursue a animal thats bigger than what he has harvested before more power to him. Its all about personal achievements! I'll be honest with you guys I put to much pressure on myself based on what others see and percieve! I have more fun helping someone else harvest thier game than mine! Just my 2 cents

Thats why I quit shed hunting over 10 years ago. I had a walk in only spot where I found 27 elk antlers with a matching 370 in 1 day. It was an elk sanctuary till the quads guys raped and violated it and I had to stop Because I knew if I ever ran in to 1 of those guys someone was gonna get hurt. So in the name of my SANITY I QUIT so that I could enjoy the rest of my life with out bars! I feel for you guys!!!!!!!

I'm in rare form tonite I read the Prescott Courier's report . Its all garbage . This is all about money and interesting enough nothings been decided about the solar energy placement its all speculation!!!! If it was about the solar deal why not quarintine of that solar area to keep the hunters out and they can hunt the rest ? They closed it in 2009 to hunters because of a SLOB hunter, Warned the dept about 2010 but went ahead and let them hunt there. SO DUH THE WARDEN FOR THIS UNIT MUST OF HAD A CLUE OF WHAT WAS COMING IN 2011. And as usual the hunters know last and suffer the most. I think its away out for CV and now that the ranchers have Steve Pierce. I think it stinks of politics and thier trying to make way for landowners tags, which would be good for guides and bad for Joe Hunter, THATS ME AND YOU!
