Hunted until about 11:30 and got 8. Love the purple faces! Not a lot of birds in my usual spots and nobody else hunting there today. And best of all no snakes seen or heard.

Is there any quail reports? This thread turned into a snakefest. I'm heading out in the morning by Roosevelt for quail. Will I be wasting my time? Well, wasting gas? I do have snake chaps and if trphyhntr is wondering, I wear camo pants underneath....

1st ones I've ever seen in AZ was at Pleasant at the old boat launch (1986). I was walking by garbage cans and they popped out and scared the crap out of me! Also, saw one hit in the road on 59th Ave by Arrowhead Lakes.

I'd pick Ft. Collins/Windsor over Greeley. We've stayed in Greeley the last 2 summers for a week for softball. Just go to walmart there and that will tell you a lot.

12 or 13. 1st pig in 24A and 1st deer in 24A.

Most elk hunts we go to Bun Huggers in Flagstaff to celebrate the success of the hunt.

I had the exact same gun. Killed my 1st limit of quail with it. Bought it at Gemco back in the day!
