We have seen quail in 7W where we elk hunt. I have never hunted them there but they are there in small numbers. -

Bummer. Came across a young cow elk with one leg caught like that. She had broken her leg. A guy on the other side of the fence came up and got her unstuck. Coyotes probably got her later that night.......

I got one of those Primos trigger stick thing. It's a tripod and the girls love shooting off of it.

If you do buy the 700, please have Remington fix the safety. Some of these guns will fire when the safety is moved to fire. Google it.......Just want you to be aware.

Once kids figure it out you're toast. I don't think mine outshot me until he was 20. I still whoop him on the skeet range. Maybe challenge your son to a skeet match.....And yeah, he should be cleaning all the birds...it's a rite of passage...
