My son and I both have an AR. We are building the next one ourselves. He got a stripped lower and I just bought a lower parts kit for it. Midway has complete DPMS uppers for $374 right now. We should come in around 600 bucks on this one. I don't think you can wrong with what Walmart is offering. All 3 are good brand names.

I lifted my sons 02 Taco with Old Man Emu stuff. I got it from Toytec Lifts in CO. I payed about $40 extra and they assembled the struts to the coil. When they arrived they were ready to bolt in. Otherwise you need a spring compressor or take it to Pep Boys or Firestone etc. I also put new Dakar rear springs in the rear. My FJ is running Old Man Emu too. I have the 885 front coils. For the money it is probably the way to go. If you have extra money I would go with adjustable coilovers. Icon Dynamics makes some nice stuff as does Toytec. Try calling Expeditioneers here in town. They are some good people and will help you out.

The best pair of boots I have ever had I still wear. Got some $70 Brownings at Cabelas about 6 years ago. They are still holding up great. I wear them for every hunt. Wish I would of bought 2 pairs back then.

I bought an Armalite 20" flat top and added Magpul stuff to it. It is so accurate my girls love shooting it. Last weekend they killed a big old rock with it. There are plenty of off the shelf AR's that will shoot awesome.

So are we supposed to tell people we see on closed roads? Do we just look the other way? It's kind of like yelling at the guy speeding on your street to slow down. He's either going to keep going or come back and try to kick your butt, because he doesn't want to be told what to do. Obviously it will do no good to call Forest service or Game & Fish. They will have to catch people in the act to cite them. My elk area has lots of closed roads. Will be interesting for sure to see what other people do. Some roads have the closed sign on them but at the other end of that road there is no road closed sign. That doesn't help either. I have been up the last 2 weekends and nobody has really been in the area I like to hunt.

Pretty sure it was the Tundra pulling a trailer. It had a wildlife plate too. This was right before Munds Park where it goes to 1 lane.
