After many mind changes I am getting the Browning takedown semi auto. I've always wanted one anyway. It's shipping out today and I will have it next week, just in time for Fathers Day.

My son harvested this deer in the October unit 23 hunt. Clay called yesterday to say it was done. My son has no idea it's done yet, so he will be suprised when he gets home today. I will try to get a better picture with a better camera when he gets home. This is his 1st mounted Coues and I think it turned out great.

All I can say is that an ump with 22 years experience should not be missing that call. Ever......

Luke just got home and he's telling me about his week, I'm standing between him and the mount and he finally sees it and yells OOOOHHHH! and then gives me a big bear hug. He was so excited. Now I just hope Mom doesn't make us move it somewhere else.........

On these population management hunts, doesn't a G&F guy go with the hunter?

I know some guys buy the latest and greatest every year. I've been happy with my Switchback XT for the last 4 years.

This will be my present. I usually don't ask for a lot for Fathers Day. And the kids think I've been good enough to get something like this. Who else would pick them up from school, take them to softball practice, go to all their games, do their laundry etc. the list goes on. I guess it's all the stuff a dad should do. Anyway, the Browning lever is small enough the kids can shoot it too.

Anybody want this dryer for free?

Dryer is about 7 years old works good. Have a matching washer that has issues. Water won't fill and just agitates when turned on. 50 bucks for the dryer. Washer is free. Both are super capacity. I'm in Glendale and may consider delivery depending where you live.

Right now I'm leaning toward the Browning Lever. For some reason I like the Browning rifles, especially the BAR's. So a lever would be a nice change from a semi auto. Thanks for all the replies so far.

My son and I are having a friendly discussion about the draw. Say when you apply for deer, is your name (names) getting a random number by hunt number or for genus? In other words is there one giant deer lottery or a single lottery for each hunt number?
