Right now our family is 2 for 2 on elk tags with 2 more to check. I got 4th choice 23 cow elk archery. Ryan you better not be busy then.

Wife got drawn for elk. Bull tag in unit 8 second choice. No antelope.

I can't get through either,. I just hope I don't get through and get drawn when I'm at my daughters' talent show tonight....... The kid who is playing the piano behind his back might mess up.

If no one draws anything in my family I'm probably going to put in for elk and maybe antelope for NM.

I don't have an ATV so I won't do the poll. I hope I don't see anyone on a quad crisscrossing off the road looking for sheds. We were thinking of going out tomorrow to look for some but it sounds like people are already ruining it .

I know Graco makes great stuff for shotguns. Not sure about rifles. I put a kick eez pad on all my shotguns and have one on my BAR.

My cousins company supplies items to SW. I'm assuming ammo, she didn't say. She said what they sent them will not go far. I go to the Yorkshire/I-17 store. If I need something I go find Mary. She is always willing to help. I think sometimes she seems to be the only person working. I'm not keen on their customer service except for her.

We laid off 9 people today. That makes 26 since end of November. My company is making us take a 5% pay cut. They are suspending 401k matching until further notice. I guess I'm lucky to still have a job but another longtime employee got a years severance and they are paying his insurance for a year.

My wife had to help lay some people off and it is the worst thing for her to have to do. My company is not doing well and something is going to be announced tomorrow. Who knows what they'll say. Either we're sold or are closing soon.

The next tournament is next Sat. the 21st. They have a hunter class if you aren't NSCA registered. They have a drawing for the Hunter class and usually give out free 1 year subscription to Wildlife Views. Hope to run into you out there.

I don't know about buckhunter, but I don't use a dog. Biggest covey I saw was about 20 birds. I hit 4 of my best spots and 3 had 15 to 20 bird coveys.

That was you. I'll look for you next time. We shoot sporting clays on a semi regular basis. Do you shoot any of the monthly tournaments?

Great job on the birds. Did you find them to flush far out? I hunted Thursday by Punkin Center and ended up with 10 birds by noon. The birds quit calling after 10a.m. I stopped in 1 spot and did a big loop and didn't find them until I was 70 yds. from the truck, by then I was tired and missed 2 shots. I had the whole place to myself and found birds in the same places as I did in Oct. All the birds are big ones now.

I'm not sure if they will be up or down. I think people who take hunting seriously will find a way to get in the apps and then save for the hunt if they draw. I just wrote 6 checks to G&F for our apps. Hope the wife doesn't yell to much, 2 of those apps are hers.

I would go for the .270. I remember when I was about that age looking for my 1st rifle. I called every gun shop in town and got a Remington 760 pump in .270. I still shoot a .270 to this day. Good luck with your choice.
